First AR trendy tech tour launched in Sanxia, New Taipei, reversing traditional industries' new turning point

The "Romantic Melody of Sanxia" event in Sanxia District, New Taipei City recently officially kicked off at the plaza of Sanxia Zushi Temple. New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Lu Wei-ching invited the public to hold their smartphones and, through AR reality navigation and a fun tech challenge to collect gold coins, jointly visit Sanxia's historical monuments, shops, food, and attractions, and deeply experience the local cultural heritage.

New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Lu Wei-ching said that New Taipei City covers a vast area, with diverse and distinctive industries, and the Sanying-Shu area has local historical heritage, cultural features, diverse tourist attractions, and industrial commercial districts, possessing quite deep development potential. In recent years, the New Taipei City Government has successively invested about 60 billion in funding for various construction projects, including the Sanying Second Bridge, the widening of Sanying Bridge, and Yingge Sports Park, and the MRT Sanying Line is expected to be completed in December of year 112, making the transportation construction and related public facilities in the Sanying-Shu area more complete, providing a higher-quality living environment, and also giving tourists a more friendly tourism environment and service. This is an excellent opportunity for the development and promotion of the greater Yingge area.

This year New Taipei City received a three-year 30 million subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and will begin by accelerating the translation of local cultural materials and content in greater Yingge, including areas such as Yingge, Shulin, and Sanxia, which have 5 key elements: ceramics, red yeast rice, indigo dyeing, food, and religious culture. It will optimize greater Yingge's infrastructure, create cultural landmarks, co-create large-scale installation art with local communities, and connect public spaces. In addition, it will also plan innovative venue technology experiences and application services, and through an AR smart tourism APP, assist local industries in introducing e-commerce applications and big data analysis services. At the same time, it will hold special events such as industry carnivals and grassland concerts, hoping to create smart Sanying-Shu through the connection of technology applications and local culture, bringing visitors a consumption and tourism experience different from the past.

The New Taipei City Economic Development Department added that the public only needs to download the VZ Taiwan APP and enter the Sanxia section to travel through Sanxia via AR reality navigation and collect gold coins to exchange for gifts. The event will continue until the end of this year, and the public is warmly welcome to participate actively.
