Three dried branches and a handful of wild grass, under 50 yuan to make your home both classy and beautiful

In April, a friend of mine finally moved into a new home of her own. So she invited a few friends over to hang out (scoping out the route so I can mooch meals there often later), and to celebrate her housewarming, we all prepared gifts.
Not to brag, but compared with the oven, tableware, kettle and other gifts from our other friends, April won hands down. What April gave was a set of dried-branch flower-and-grass hoops she made herself, and the moment it reached her hands, it was hung on the sofa wall.
Come to think of it, it's been a long time since I taught you all flower-and-grass handmade crafts, so today I'll teach you how to make a few dried-branch flower-and-grass hoops, guaranteed to teach and guaranteed you'll learn, at almost zero cost. Whether as a gift or to decorate your home, it's a perfect 100~

Handmade flower-and-grass hoops
If you don't have the money to hire a designer, or your home is rented and you don't want to spend too much money fussing over it, and you're also a "plant killer" who can't keep plants alive, then the easiest way is to decorate it with dried branches, flowers and grass.
A single dried branch carries a plain, rustic charm of its own; without any effort at all, it can become the rewriter of your home life. While decorating, it's also practical, making it practically the champion of the DIY home world.
/ Hanging dried flowers /
The flowers your boyfriend gives you are sometimes so ugly you can't bear to look, but hang them upside down to make dried flowers, add a vintage filter, and they become beautiful.
Actually, the process of drying flowers is itself a decoration. Didn't feel that way before? It's only because you hung them in the wrong place; one dried branch solves it.
Watch the colors slowly transform,
it's both the drying process and the most beautiful decoration in the home.
Break the flowers into small bunches, and they dry faster,
and you can also weave them into a flower curtain.
Simply tie fallen leaves and dried flowers onto a dried branch,
for a naturally weathered effect.
If you want fresh plants on the wall, using test tubes to hold water is too much trouble; you can just choose branches and leaves with less moisture or evergreens, such as cotton and pine branches.
/ Decorating a pendant lamp /
The feel of the lighting is so important to a home's atmosphere, but for friends who rent, directly changing the lamp costs too much. Using a dried-branch flower-and-grass hoop to change the lighting effect is simple and romantic.
Under the lamps in the living room and dining room,
surround the light source with a flower-and-grass hoop.
Or set candle holders on the hoop,
and every day is a candlelit dinner.
But while being romantic, you need to pay attention to safety,
don't let the candle get too close to the string, and put out the candle promptly after use.
Make a double-layer one, with the upper layer in charge of beauty,
and the lower layer in charge of practicality.
/ Geometric decoration /
Setting practicality aside, hang geometric shapes made of combined dried branches on a wall of your home, and they instantly beat all kinds of tacky TV walls and sofa walls.
A triangular dried-branch hoop,
with branches and leaves tied at the corners, is suitable for hanging in a corner or entryway.
No flowers or grass, only branches,
painted in colors that match your home decor,
combined into the shapes you like, and it's instantly different~
If you're lucky enough to pick up a pile of branches,
you can make a big trapezoid,
and stick photos on it to make a photo wall.
If the wall in your home is too empty, you can pair it with a Macrame hand-woven tapestry.
One dried branch, wrapped with cotton rope,
hanging down freely.
If you don't have cotton rope at home,
using strips of cloth or ribbon works well too.
You see, simple branches, flowers and grass can make a home beautiful.Your home being dull, tedious and unchanging was never because of a lack of money, but a lack of zest for life and hands-on ability.
After reading this, don't you really want to make one yourself? April already guessed what you're thinking,what we're teaching you to make today is the geometric flower-and-grass hoop and the flower-and-grass pendant hoop.The DIY tutorial is here~ Pay attention, class, watch carefully!
Simple flower-and-grass hoop
Preparing materials
Several branches, branches and leaves or dried flowers, cotton rope;
discarded wire (or copper wire, iron wire and the like), a small knife, wire cutters;
Processing the materials
1. Use a small knife to scrape the bark off the branches, and place them in a dry spot to air-dry or sun-dry (if the branches are already dried out or you don't want to scrape the bark, please ignore this step.)
2. Give the leaves or dried flowers a simple trim.
Starting to make it
1. Connect the branches end to end, and wrap them with wire into a triangle (or any other shape you want).
2. Arrange the leaves and flowers and grass; in this step you can create freely, and once you're satisfied with the shape and layering, wrap them onto the branches with wire.
3. Tie the cotton rope to the balance point of the shape; if one side is heavier, appropriately reduce or add branches and leaves.
If you want to make a circular flower-and-grass hoop, you can buy a circular hoop or bend a hanger from your home into a circle, and wrap flowers and grass around it.
Flower-and-grass pendant hoop
Preparing materials
Wire coil, evergreen green leaves, fresh flowers or dried flowers;
tape (glue), wire cutters, ribbon.
Processing the materials
1. Give the leaves or dried flowers a simple trim and wrap them with tape;
2. If you don't have a wire coil, you can make a circle yourself with wire, generally around three to four loops.
Starting to make it
1. First secure the foliage material with tape or glue between the two loops of the inner ring.
2. Turn the flower hoop over and repeat step 1 in the outer ring. Because this is a pendant hoop, you need to fill all four sides with plants.
3. Choose brighter-colored flowers and insert them among the green leaves of the hoop. (The photo uses fake flowers; for real flowers you can use fresh-flower glue and a glue gun to stick them onto the branches and leaves)
4. Calculate the height needed for the pendant hoop, and tie silk thread around the ring, paying attention to the balance point.
With a few simple steps, dried branches, flowers and grass can give your home a complete makeover; as the seasons and your mood change, you can swap out the plants at any time, and looking at it again, it's a brand-new ornament.
Some people say there's no need to fuss over a rented home, but April thinks that precisely because it's a rented home, without a sense of belonging, that's why I want to change it and give it a bit more of a home feeling.
If you want to make life refined, having lots and lots of money works. If you don't have money, having lots and lots of zest for life works too.
Don't always blame the monotony of your life
on having no money and no time.
Pick up a few branches; it doesn't cost any money,
tie a flower-and-grass hoop; it takes no more than the time of one variety show episode.
An attitude of loving life has never had anything to do with money.
