What to do if your amaryllis never grows roots? With this method, growing it well and getting it to bloom is easy

What to do if your amaryllis never grows roots?
The amaryllis you planted now isn't growing roots, and that's normal. Summer simply isn't suitable for it to root; once the temperature is right and you keep up with watering, it will naturally grow roots.
If you just bought an amaryllis bulb and after planting it never grows roots or grows at all, that's all normal. You can keep the potting soil moist, but before planting you must disinfect it properly, because it is most prone to mold and rot. After planting, keep the potting soil moist, and continue this until the temperature drops below 30°C; at that point give it plenty of water and it will gradually grow roots. When planting a freshly bought bulb, be sure to put it in a well-ventilated place. If ventilation is poor, it will very easily rot. You must pay attention to this point.
There is another situation where roots don't grow: you bought imported amaryllis. Imported amaryllis has all been through cold treatment, and after we buy it, there isn't a single root at the base. After planting, most of them are not easy to root! Why is that? Because the imported amaryllis we buy has all been through cold treatment. The purpose of cold treatment is to promote flower bud differentiation; its bulb has already formed flower buds. After you plant it, the temperature now is very high, so it won't grow roots or send up a flower scape; after some time, once the temperature drops, it will grow a flower scape directly from the bulb and bloom. Because its flower buds have already formed, it consumes the nutrients stored in the bulb to finish blooming before it grows roots. This is a process. For a freshly bought imported amaryllis bulb, after planting, it will bloom when the temperature is suitable; after blooming, cut off the flower scape promptly. Don't pollinate it, because it basically has no roots, and pollinating it will affect its rooting. Wait until next year when its root system has grown well; when it blooms again you can pollinate it, because its roots are good and the nutrients are sufficient.
If your amaryllis isn't growing roots now, you can take the bulb out and put it in a cool, ventilated place; don't expose it to the sun. Once the temperature drops, you can plant it directly, and before long it will naturally grow roots.
