These days, growing flowers has become a nationwide activity just like fitness. Whether people like it or not, whether they know the ins and outs or not, everyone wants to join in. Once you truly get into it, you'll discover: hey, that snake plant that so-and-so posted on Moments looks great, and so-and-so's hydrangea is beautiful too... The more you look, the more you want to buy, and the result of buying too many is that often you can't give your plants proper care.

Actually, buying flowers requires caution, and placing flowers requires caution too. At this point, the location of your flowers becomes especially important. Choose the right spot, and it won't just add to the beauty of your flowers; choose the wrong one, and your plants might just leave you. So how exactly should you place flowers at home? Just listen to Huahua explain below.

1. Next to the kitchen range hood

Putting plants next to the kitchen range hood is undoubtedly plant suicide. Why? The kitchen is where we usually cook, and the range hood is an indispensable thing. Why do we use a range hood? Because we're afraid the cooking fumes will choke us and affect our health when inhaled. The same principle applies to plants. Plants are also afraid of cooking fume pollution. Although plants themselves have an air-purifying effect, compared with the kitchen range hood, that effect is negligible. So don't put plants here.

2. Entrance hall and foyer

Places like the entrance hall and foyer are visible as soon as you walk in the door, so it's best to choose plants that are mainly appreciated for their leaves. You can place plants like lucky bamboo or money trees. Besides these highly ornamental plants, you can also place a bouquet of flowers whose scent you like in the foyer, such as white magnolia or jasmine. This way, guests can smell a pleasant fragrance as soon as they enter, leaving a deep impression.

3. Bathroom

Many people say it's best not to grow plants in the bathroom, because the bathroom is humid and has no light, making it unsuitable for plants to survive. Huahua thinks you can grow them, but the key is what kind of plants you grow. Those that like light and dry environments are naturally unsuitable, so what kind is suitable for the bathroom? Ones that like humid environments, tolerate shade, and can purify the air, such as lemongrass or aloe.

4. Bedroom

Placing flowers in the bedroom also requires attention. Flowers grown in the bedroom must not have too strong a scent. People's immunity is relatively low during sleep, and a strong, intense scent will irritate our respiratory tract, so you must pay attention to this. So what kind of flowers should you place? It's best to place flowers that can produce oxygen at night, such as ivy.

In other places, such as the study, you can place refreshing plants like mint. Don't put plants in relatively extreme places, such as air conditioning vents or next to radiators. These places are actually not very good, because plants can't withstand having air conditioning blown on them and being pressed against radiators 24 hours a day, every minute. So, as long as the location isn't extreme, and you learn to reasonably use these external conditions and the plants' own habits to adjust things, there's no problem!
