Pothos wilting right after you bring it home? Master these few tricks to make its leaves glossy and bright

When we first decide to buy plants, we happily bring them home from the flower market, and at that time the plants are vivid green and full of life. But unexpectedly, after a few days they start to look a bit wilted. Pothos is a clear example: the pothos you just brought home looks lovely, so why does it start to wilt later?
Today Huahua will talk with everyone about why pothos wilts for no apparent reason after being brought home.
If you want a plant to grow well and become lush and leafy, there are really only two points: environmental issues and soil issues.
The pothos just brought back from the flower market had basically been living in a greenhouse before. The temperature in a greenhouse is high, and pothos likes a warm environment, so the temperature at home naturally cannot compare with the high temperature of a greenhouse, and naturally there is a contrast. It is not just pothos; many plants like high temperatures, so it is not surprising that they can grow better in high-temperature places.
As for soil, the newly bought pothos is in its growth period, and the growth period naturally requires more fertilizer. Moreover, pothos grows relatively fast, so there may be a reason that the fertility cannot keep up.
So exactly how should you grow pothos to make it grow better and become more lush and leafy?
Fertilizing
You should develop the habit of fertilizing pothos. As we said earlier, a large part of the reason pothos does not grow well is that fertility cannot keep up. For fertilizing, mainly use nitrogen fertilizer, and it can be used together with organic fertilizer. Follow the principle of light fertilizer applied frequently: fertilize often, but apply little at a time. In this way, pothos can keep up with nutrients and naturally grows quickly.
Watering
Normally when watering pothos, there is no need to water too frequently or too much; just make sure the bottom of the pot is moist. If you have time, you can often use a small spray bottle to spray some water on the pothos leaves. This not only helps maintain the moisture of the leaves, but also ensures the leaves' glossiness. In summer, it also has the effect of cooling down the pothos. Keeping a small spray bottle at home is very useful and practical.
Light and ventilation
Although pothos is a relatively shade-tolerant plant, plants still need photosynthesis. Especially for plants like pothos that are mainly grown for their leaves and are highly ornamental, photosynthesis is even more necessary. So normally you also need to give pothos some light, and also ensure good ventilation. If the pothos at home has already started to look a bit wilted, it may be because of insufficient light. You might as well move the pothos outside to get some sun; perhaps there will be a pleasant surprise.
Cuttings
Pothos is a plant whose roots easily age. Its vines are very long, and nutrients easily go to the stems, so compared with the stems, the roots are more likely to wither and age. For this, we can use cuttings to make pothos more lush and leafy. In this way, the new pothos and the old pothos in one pot will make the pothos look more vigorous.
These are the clever tricks for making pothos grow just like the ones at the flower market. Have you learned them?
