How to prune Aglaia odorata after flowering? Detailed post-bloom pruning method
1. Pruning young plants
Aglaia odorata has a fairly long flowering period; as long as the temperature is suitable and there is enough light and nutrients, it can keep blooming continuously. The amount of pruning after flowering is not particularly large; it is mainly shaping pruning. Generally, you start with young plants: when a young plant reaches a certain size, keep the lower 15-20 cm and cut it back short to let it fork and branch, so its shape grows fuller.

2. Pruning leggy branches
For Aglaia odorata grown at home, it often already has a certain size and is basically shaped when bought from the flower market. So after flowering, leggy branches need to be pruned; overly long branches will ruin the plant's shape, and we must cut them back short to keep the plant's form intact.
3. Pruning dead branches
The inner branches grow relatively thin and weak, and some dead branches can be cut away directly. Generally, Aglaia odorata does not need major pruning; the main goal is to maintain its shape.
