Reasons and solutions for blackening leaves of the Money Tree
1. Proper watering
Cause: Although the Money Tree is a drought-tolerant plant and does not need too much watering, it still needs reasonable watering. If watering is unreasonable, the leaves will turn black.
Solution: During the growing season of the Money Tree, water once or twice a week; during the dormant period, water two to three times a month. Before watering, first observe the condition of the potting soil. Only after the potting soil is completely dry can you water. When watering, do not use too much, and make sure there is no standing water in the potting soil. Standing water will affect root respiration and cause health problems for the plant.
2. Adjust the temperature
Cause: It is relatively tolerant of high temperatures and is suitable for growing in high temperatures. A temperature of 20 degrees is more suitable for its growth. If the temperature is too low, the leaves will turn black.
Solution: Properly adjust the temperature of the Money Tree's growing environment. Above 20 degrees is enough; it does not need to be too high.
3. Proper light
Cause: The Money Tree likes sunlight. Insufficient sunlight will cause the leaves to turn black.
Solution: Give the Money Tree eight hours of light every day. Even in winter, place it in a sunny spot to receive all-day sunlight.
4. Solve pest problems
1. Cause: If the Money Tree is infected by pests, the leaves will turn black.
2. Solution: First find out where the pest infection is. If the branches and leaves are infected by pests, spray them with insecticide. If the soil is infected, disinfect the plant and change the soil.
