If you want to add some plants indoors to make your home look cozier, then the creative ideas below can help you. They can not only purify the indoor air, but also decorate the home, making the whole space look fresh and natural.

To create a warm and harmonious indoor space for you, as long as you have some hands-on ability, you can DIY it yourself.

1. Tall ceramic bowl planter

This planter, which looks like a totem, is actually made by stacking two bowls and a small jar, and finally gluing them together with some hot glue, turning it into a tall ceramic pot. It looks very fresh, and can be used to grow trailing plants, such as the common inch plant (Tradescantia zebrina).

2. Bedside hanging planter

The idea above is very simple: just a shelf bracket, paired with some hanging ropes, with a white ceramic flower pot placed on top, growing some hanging spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum). It looks as fresh and natural as a pendant lamp.

3. Stepped plant stand

This stepped display stand is also suitable for holding potted plants. It looks very fresh and distinctive. Each tray can hold one kind of potted green plant; the plants chosen here are the ti plant (Cordyline fruticosa), the round-leaf peperomia (Peperomia obtusifolia) and the staghorn fern (Platycerium).

4. Hemp rope and hanging planter

You can decorate windowsills or porches with some hanging planters. You can make your own hanging ropes from hemp rope and place various flower pots inside, which gives a great look and saves space. Growing some trailing purple shamrock (Oxalis triangularis), English ivy (Hedera helix), spider plant with golden centers and pothos (Epipremnum aureum) would be nice.

5. Belt and hanging planter

The leather texture of the belt contrasts sharply with the white ceramic pot, making it look very creative. Pairing it with some fresh plants here makes it even more charming; the plants grown here are the jade plant (Crassula ovata) and the dragon tree (Dracaena marginata).

6. Wicker basket and large green plant

The large potted plant above is very fresh and simple, using a very distinctive woven basket painted white at the bottom. Paired with the brown of the wicker basket and the emerald green leaves of the fiddle-leaf fig (Ficus lyrata), it looks especially natural.

7. Fresh hanging planter

The idea above is even more special: the wooden legs of a stool are directly removed, and each stool leg becomes a support for hanging plants, while some hemp ropes fix the ceramic pots directly in the air, forming charming hanging planters.

8. Woven basket hanging planter

If your small apartment does not have much space, then you can use creative hanging planters. Here, some woven baskets are chosen to hang and grow plants; the plants chosen here are the jade plant (Crassula ovata) and the pencil cactus (Euphorbia tirucalli), which do not need frequent watering.

9. Portable cart plant stand

This is a multifunctional portable cart. You can place all kinds of things on it, and using it to hold some potted plants is also a good choice. You can push it to a suitable position. The plants chosen here are all some herb plants, including the common rosemary, basil, mint, cilantro, thyme and oregano.

10. Painted terracotta pot

If you want to grow some large-leaf plants but do not want to take care of them often, how many plants can you think of? The common large fiddle-leaf fig, snake plant (Sansevieria) and Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema) are all very close competitors, but do not overlook the low-key yet dignified rubber plant (Ficus elastica). It also has many varieties; let's take a look below.
