When growing flowers at home, try not to keep plants that multiply too fast, or one flower pot won't be enough

Growing flowers is something many people enjoy. Keeping a few plants at home not only looks great as decoration, but also makes life full of fun. But when growing flowers at home, you often run into this kind of problem: the plants at home multiply rather slowly, and however many you have is how many you keep. When it comes to this, a fellow flower grower told me that he picked up a potted plant and now has no idea what to do with it. He bought several flower pots to grow it, but it is still not enough, because its multiplying power is just too strong. When growing flowers at home, try not to keep "it"! A fellow flower grower: one flower pot is not enough, it multiplies too fast!

This plant is the mother of thousands (Kalanchoe daigremontiana). Keeping a little of it at home is a very good choice. The fellow flower grower told me that when growing mother of thousands, remember to buy several more flower pots, otherwise there will be nowhere to grow them all. Mother of thousands is also called the "phoenix of immortality", which shows just how powerful its will to survive is. No matter what kind of environment it is in, it can grow very well. Even if the flower pot is placed directly outside, enduring wind and rain and blazing sun, it still stays perfectly alive.

When growing mother of thousands, once the plant grows to a certain point, it will produce some small buds on its leaves. These small buds are each a little seedling. After the small buds appear, some aerial roots will gradually emerge beneath them. After growing for a while longer, these small buds will drop off on their own, and then they will grow into new plants.

For the small buds that fall into the flower pot, the aerial roots will quickly burrow into the soil, absorb enough nutrients, and then grow into a new mother of thousands. This way of reproducing is very fast: one plant can multiply into a whole big pot, and the speed is also very fast. For the newly grown mother of thousands, it is best to transplant them, otherwise they will be harder to manage.

Mother of thousands also blooms, and the flowers it produces are a bit like trumpets, looking quite nice. And when it blooms, it always produces many flowers at once; some of them even come out with a very layered look, tier upon tier, very beautiful. Keeping mother of thousands at home is fairly suitable, but you may need to prepare a few more flower pots so you can grow more of them. If you do not want that many, you can also just throw those small buds away.
