The spider plant, kept at home, can be said to be one of the most decorative plants, especially when it bursts into a full pot, with fat, large leaves and slender stems, green and glossy from top to bottom, a clump bursting out of the pot, very eye-catching. But not everyone can grow a spider plant into such a magnificent sight; it is possible that it never sends out stems for years, and that its leaves turn yellow and drop. Even though you carefully tend to it every day, in the end it all comes to nothing; ultimately, it is because you have not mastered the right plant-care techniques.

Some of our plant-growing experts have their own unique plant-care techniques when growing plants. They make good use of all kinds of little tricks, and things that in ordinary people's eyes are waste residue become treasures in their hands, used in plant care, and the flowers bloom in full pots. Many people do not know that soybeans can actually be used to grow plants too, especially spider plants: bury a little "bean" in the soil, and with no fertilizer needed, the leaves can still grow big and green, and the spider plant rapidly turns into an "explosive hairdo"! Using soybeans to grow plants can be divided into the following two main aspects.

1. Using soybeans directly

The soybean itself is a kind of legume food with very high nutritional value. Every household should have at least some soybeans. If there are leftovers or spoiled ones, we can put them to use. Before using them, you need to crush the soybeans so they do not sprout in the soil. When we plant, we directly put these crushed soybeans into the soil; only five or six pieces are needed. The soybeans we bury themselves contain elements such as magnesium and calcium that can serve as organic fertilizer, and they will also be continuously decomposed by the components in our soil, releasing a lot of nitrogen, which is a nutrient necessary for the growth of spider plants. And a spider plant grown in such soil will also continuously absorb these components; with enough nutrition, the root system becomes well developed, the leaves also become big and green, and the spider plant slowly turns into an "explosive hairdo"!

2. Using them after processing

The ways of using soybeans are varied, but all roads lead to the same destination; the ultimate goal is for the spider plant to grow fast and well. This method is more troublesome, but it is more beneficial to growth. You need to soak the soybeans in water for 3 hours, then cook them. In this way, the soybeans are easy to make into a minced form, and the minced form is more easily absorbed. Then place this minced material under the sun to dry for a whole day, which can fully sterilize it. In this way it can be used to grow plants. When planting, directly mix this minced material into the soil. If the plant is in the growing stage, you can use it when repotting, or directly dig a hole in the soil and bury some in. All these practices can let the spider plant obtain better nutrients, rapidly burst into a full pot, like an explosive hairdo.
