Breeding scams exposed: lose over a million yuan in two years in 2018, don't be fooled again

In recent years, farming and breeding projects have been very popular in rural areas, with all kinds of farming and breeding projects emerging one after another. This also reflects, to a certain extent, that under the broader environment farmers dare to seek change and adapt to the times, but everything must be viewed from a dialectical perspective. Among those doing farming and breeding projects, a minority made money, some just recouped their capital, and most lost money. Among the farmers who lost money, many are inseparably linked to the farming and breeding projects that are making a big noise in the market. Today the editor will tell you about these breeding scams that appeared in rural areas in 2018. Some people lost more than 1 million yuan in two years. You must not be fooled again.
Leech farming:
The leech is also called the bloodsucker, it is good at sucking blood and looks terrifying, but its medicinal value is extremely high and its profit margin is very large. One leech seedling costs 1 mao, and after successful breeding it can be sold for the high price of 1.7-1.8 yuan. Therefore many farmers, lacking technology, still do not hesitate to invest large amounts of money, just to take a gamble. If successful, it is simply huge profit, with profits reaching 200%. Leeches produce seedlings easily but growing them out is very difficult, and after producing seedlings there is a high risk of massive leech death. The farmer not only lost all of the more than 1 million yuan he invested, but also lost all of the more than 1 million yuan borrowed from relatives and friends. After two years, not only did he lose everything, but he was also deeply in debt.
Ground beetle (Eupolyphaga sinensis):
Actually, ground beetle farming is real, it is just that many companies exaggerate the benefits of ground beetle farming in order to speculate on breeding stock. The buyback price they advertise is mostly more than 100 yuan per jin for fresh ground beetles, and mostly 200 to 300 yuan per jin for dried ground beetles. But the dried ground beetles sold in pharmacies are only 50 to 60 yuan per jin, and if it is the price in the medicinal materials market, it is even lower, so the price at which we sell will be even lower, roughly a tenfold difference from the price they advertise. Investors are advised to visit the medicinal materials market more and investigate the real price before making a farming decision. These companies advertise this way actually in order to sell you insect eggs at a high price, and then the buyback contract signed with them will become a piece of waste paper when the time comes. Moreover, ground beetle farming technology is not as simple as they advertise, and many simply cannot raise them at all.
Mandarin duck farming:
Some people have succeeded in farming mandarin ducks, but it is not as good as the rumors say! Whether money can be made is still unknown. In fact, the cost of farming mandarin ducks is not low, and one mandarin duck lays only 5-20 eggs a year. Although they can grow to about 4 kg in 3-4 months, the hidden investment cost is actually very high. The main thing is that the market capacity is too narrow and sales volume is limited. Keeping them merely as ornamental breeding is still possible, but as for wanting large-scale commercial farming, it is a bit unworkable. I hope farmer friends will keep their eyes open and not jump into the pit with their eyes open!
Specialty breeding generally sounds very good when advertised, but the technical requirements during the breeding process are sometimes very high, and sometimes even if they are raised smoothly to market size, the market is poor. Here we remind the vast number of farmers to choose carefully.
