When you hear the word truck, what comes to mind for you gardening fans? Moving house, hauling goods... The wildly imaginative Japanese have linked gardens with trucks, creating beautiful private gardens inside the truck beds. Today, let's follow Huahua and take a look at these beautiful "truck gardens"!

These small trucks are very common in Japan. Using truck beds to create horticultural landscapes is very convenient to build, and it also lets people who have long lived in the city experience the charm of nature.

How about sitting down and having a cup of tea among the green mountains and clear waters?

Not a tea drinker? Then how about a glass of red wine, or champagne?

A mountain path, climbing the steps with good friends, chatting freely among the trees. It would be even better with a few koi added to the water!

Sheltered by emerald bamboo, listening to the murmuring stream. If you were really in such a bamboo grove, it would surely be so refreshing!

Huahua thinks this truck garden landscape looks more like a trendy cafe by the street.

Putting a traditional Japanese cottage onto a truck, and then packing the beauty of the woods into the cottage, what an ingenious concept!

Combining a folding screen with a bonsai gives it a touch of Chinese-style charm!

The designer wanted to create an autumn mountain stream waterfall, but the water flow seems a bit small...

A romantic coffee table surrounded by fresh flowers and green grass. Friends with nowhere to go on Qixi might want to consider this!

Doesn't it look like a corner of a garden? If a few succulents were planted too, it would surely look even better!

Sitting on a chair at night, with lush green plants around you and a brilliant starry sky overhead, just thinking about it feels so cozy!

A fireplace that can be moved anytime, though I wonder if it could be used to roast sweet potatoes?

At Halloween, driving a truck like this to go trick-or-treating would definitely be so cool!

Could this designer's concept have come from the Golden-Haired Lion King? This bizarre style caught me completely off guard.

After seeing all kinds of truck garden landscapes, next Huahua will share with everyone the process of one designer building a truck garden.

His design concept comes from the Japanese myth and legend "Yamata no Orochi", combining culture with nature.

He first started by making the parts needed for the landscape. He prepared two rectangular insulation boards as folding screens, and glued thinly cut tiles onto the insulation boards to make the shapes of a sea of clouds and tree branches.

He applied glue to the other parts and covered them with sand, then glued moss onto the sea of clouds and tree branch sections. In this way, a complete folding screen was finished.

After finishing the folding screen, he prepared bamboo strips and cut them into thin layers, then set to work on the main subject of the design, Yamata no Orochi.

Because at least eight snakes are needed, this is the most complicated step in the whole process, and it cannot be completed without patience.

The parts of the design that needed to be handmade were basically finished. Next it was time to create the landscape on the truck! He stacked blue tiles to represent the clouds above Yamata no Orochi's head.

Then he laid plastic film over the truck bed and arranged stones into shapes.

He filled the spaces between the stones with gravel to express the feeling of a murmuring stream, and decorated beside the stones with flowers such as chrysanthemums, Saxifraga fortunei, gentians, Dianthus superbus, and moss.

Adding the previously made folding screen and bamboo dragons, a truck garden based on "Yamata no Orochi" was completed!

In such a small space,

create the garden of your dreams.

Isn't a landscape like this full of imagination?
