These days, quite a lot of people enjoy growing flowers at home. In fact, you can grow more than just flowers at home - it is the same process as growing flowers, but the result is a little different. Vitamin C is very good for the body, and many people even regularly buy fruit to supplement their vitamin C. Actually, as long as you enjoy growing plants, you can absolutely grow a bit of "vitamin C" at home. Grow a bit of the "king of vitamin C" at home! Even better than "grapes", the berries look lovely, and you can pick and eat them whenever you want.

This king of vitamin C is the sea buckthorn berry, which many people quite like. Sea buckthorn berries contain a huge amount of vitamin C, roughly 200 times more than grapes. When sea buckthorn berries fruit, they grow in clusters, and the colour is quite bright and vivid, making them look very appetising. Growing a pot of sea buckthorn at home is also a very good choice; eating some regularly can supplement the vitamin C your body needs.

For newly purchased sea buckthorn seedlings, because the transport time is fairly long, they will show signs of dehydration. So you need to let them recover first, and only then can they grow normally. When reviving the seedlings, the first thing to do is to place them in a cool, ventilated spot, then water them often so the soil stays moist. But note: do not fertilise at all, otherwise not only will the roots struggle to absorb nutrients, it can even burn the roots.

The reviving period generally takes half a month, after which they can grow normally. When growing sea buckthorn, it is best to give it plenty of light, as this speeds up its growth. Because sea buckthorn is naturally a fairly heat-tolerant plant, you do not need to worry that too much sun will cause problems. Once the sea buckthorn is growing normally, pay attention to watering too - you do not need to water much, otherwise the roots can easily rot. Generally, water thoroughly only after the soil has completely dried out.

When growing sea buckthorn, do not fertilise too frequently either. Because sea buckthorn is fairly tolerant of poor soil, it does not need much fertiliser. Generally, when growing it, just add a little compound fertiliser and it will be fine for a long time. For regular fertilising, it is best to use organic fertiliser, as this is better for the growth of the sea buckthorn. So growing sea buckthorn at home is quite good - easy to care for and it gives you more vitamin C. Give it a try!
