Thank you very much for your long-term attention and support of this Toutiao account. Now I would like to talk about my cultivation insights for everyone to share, and at the same time I also invite all orchid friends to share their personal cultivation insights. Orchids grow between heaven and earth, and were known to the ancients long ago. Their noble and pure character, and the fact that they do not cease to be fragrant just because no one is around, are known to all. There are many people who love orchids and are obsessed with them. Especially with reform and opening up in recent years and the growing financial strength among the people, more and more people like to grow orchids. But how many people can actually grow orchids well?

Orchid cultivation

Looking across China, among those who grow orchids, most use humus soil as the medium. Its contents are unclear, and it contains many miscellaneous bacteria, insects, and so on. If the planting material is good, the orchids can grow acceptably; otherwise, the entire collection of orchids may collapse, roots may rot, and all one's efforts may be lost. In southern regions, pond mud is used for planting. In the past, pond mud was not polluted. Today's pond mud is mostly sludge that sinks to the bottom after foul water flows in. It is scooped out, dried in the sun, and cut into blocks. How many heavy metals and how many chemical pollutants are settled within it? With such a planting material, can orchids be grown well?

Orchid cultivation

For orchid plants, advanced countries all use soilless cultivation and use science and technology as a means. Careful observation and learning are the proper path. In Taiwan, China, the people who grow orchids best do not use any kind of high-grade imported planting material, but rather crushed granite gravel mixed with bark or coconut chunks. It is this simple, and yet they can grow orchids better than Japan and South Korea. The crushed stone is the kind generally used for paving roads, and the specification of the building stone is 1--2 cm.

Orchid cultivation

In growing orchids, the most important issue is watering. Inside the pot, many miscellaneous organisms will inevitably exist. The orchid itself also secretes several kinds of toxins. In such a small space, these will inevitably harm the orchid's growth. The only method is to water heavily and carry some of the waste gases and materials out of the pot. ---Like people: after we eat a lot of food, we need to drink plenty of water to carry toxins out of the body. It is also like water in a mountain ditch: if there is only a tiny bit that is barely alive, it accumulates there and stinks. If the water flow is sufficient, it naturally becomes clean.
