In summer, WIFI + watermelon + mobile phone + air conditioning, these are of course our essential items, but at this moment, what I want to advise everyone is that after eating watermelon, do not throw it away, because for flowers it is a very nutritious item.

01

Burying watermelon rind in the soil

Watermelon rind is a great tonic for plants. Burying watermelon rind in the soil can serve as fertilizer, because it is rich in protein, crude fat, crude fiber, calcium, phosphorus, etc. After the buried watermelon rind rots, it makes the soil an acidic fertilizer soil, which not only provides nutrients to plants but also neutralizes alkaline soil; especially for flowers that like acidic soil, the effect is very good. First, after eating the watermelon, there will inevitably be some red flesh left on the rind. At this time, we first remove all the red flesh from the watermelon, then cut the watermelon rind into pieces. When cutting, note that you should try to cut them into small pieces. (Do not make them too large, otherwise the fermentation time will be lengthened!)

Then we find a sealed item, which can be a sealed container or an ordinary plastic bag. First place a 5 cm thick layer of fine garden soil on top of the lower layer of soil, then cut fresh watermelon rind into small pieces about 5 cm square and spread them on the soil, with a thickness of about 10 cm being suitable. On top of the watermelon rind, cover another 5 cm thick layer of fine garden soil, stacking them in layers like this; finally cover with a layer of garden soil, seal it well with plastic film, and under summer temperatures of around 30°C, after about half a month the watermelon rind will rot. Remove the film and mix it evenly, and it becomes acidic organic fertilizer soil. Using watermelon rind as fertilizer has mild fertility, is safe to use, and has no bad smell. It is a relatively good organic fertilizer. The soil cultivated in this way is generally acidic soil and can be used to grow plants such as gardenias and jasmine.

Watermelon enzyme liquid

This method is: after eating the watermelon, you do not need to remove the red flesh inside, because it has a great use: it can help fermentation. In this process, you can choose a plastic bottle. Put all the watermelon pieces cut into chunks into the bottle. Since after fermentation its smell may be a bit unpleasant, we can add some flowers that have already withered and fallen; their remaining fragrance can help drive away the unpleasant odor.

Finally add some clean water! Then you can put the cap on the bottle. During the fermentation process, some gas will be produced, and this gas can easily cause an explosion, so when we twist the bottle cap, we do not need to twist it very tightly. Finally, with the same operation, take the bottle outside to be exposed to the sun. Basically, after one month you can successfully make watermelon enzyme liquid.

Since the solution produced is liquid, at this time you cannot directly take the original liquid out to water flowers. You can mix the solution with clean water in a certain ratio. Of course, this kind of solution is also acidic. Watering some plants that like acidity with it can easily make them burst out of the pot!
