The correct method for pruning the branches and leaves of lucky bamboo
1. How to prune
When pruning branches, choose a cutting position about 0.5 cm away from the parent plant. After cutting, let the cut dry, then place it into a suitable disinfecting solution to soak for disinfection, about 30 minutes is enough. Alternatively, apply an appropriate amount of potassium permanganate solution to the wound to prevent the cut from bacterial infection. After treating the cut, it can be inserted back into the vase for care.
2. Care after pruning
After pruning, lucky bamboo must be watched over diligently. Normally, do not change the water too frequently; only add an appropriate amount of water, otherwise its leaves are likely to turn yellow. If you have brandy at home, you can drip a few drops of brandy into the water every 3 or 4 weeks. You can also appropriately add nutrient solution to make its leaves even more verdant and lush.
