How to grow spider plants so they fill their pot quickly and well
1. A suitable pot
If you want its roots to spread out better, you can choose a slightly larger clay pot, because this kind of pot is excellent for both breathability and drainage, so it is very beneficial to the spider plant's growth.
2. Fertile soil
Soil also plays a key role in whether it fills its pot. Usually fertile soil is most suitable for its growth; here we can use a mix made of leaf mold and coal cinders, and then add a little organic fertilizer to it to help its growth.
3. Water in moderation
When watering it, do not water too much each time, but water more frequently, because it likes water very much; normally once every 3 days is best, but if it is summer and the weather is hot and stuffy, when water evaporates quickly, we can water it three times a day; then in winter it enters dormancy, so stop watering, and when the soil is dry, give it a little water again.
4. Fertilize frequently
It needs a great deal of nutrients, so when growing it normally, fertilize it often, with once every 20 days being best; then in the winter dormancy period it absorbs limited nutrients, so at this time you do not need to apply fertilizer again.
5. Plenty of light
When it grows, it needs plenty of sunlight; if there is not enough light, its leaves will turn yellow, and this is also bad for its growth. So put it in a place with plenty of light, but it must not be exposed to strong light.
6. Environmental temperature
When growing it, you need to find an ambient temperature suitable for its growth, with between 15 and 25 degrees being best, and the temperature must not be lower than 5 degrees, or higher than 38 degrees, so in winter it is best to move it indoors and keep the temperature above 12 degrees, so that it can get through the winter smoothly.
