How should I prune a lucky bamboo that has grown too tall?
1. Pruning method
When the lucky bamboo has grown too tall, you can first choose the tallest spot on the roots and make a diagonal cut from one direction; when making the diagonal cut you can keep a few root tendrils, or cut them off directly. This kind of diagonal cut can increase the cut surface area at its base, allowing it to better absorb nutrients and water and making it grow more vigorously.
2. Points to note
When putting the lucky bamboo into water, remember one thing: the part in contact with the water surface must not keep any leaves, and you must make sure the part of the stem placed into the water is cleaned thoroughly. If the roots submerged in water have leaves or unclean matter on them, those rotting leaves and bacteria will pollute the water quality and make the lucky bamboo sick.
