Snip and propagate your Kalanchoe (Christmas kalanchoe), and buds keep popping out nonstop, until you cannot even see the leaves

As the weather gradually cools, Kalanchoe is almost past its summer dormancy. Friends, hurry up and prune what needs pruning, propagate what needs propagating, and fertilize what needs fertilizing, otherwise by the time Kalanchoe starts forming buds in September, it will be too late!
Prune Kalanchoe once, and it stays disease-free and blooms into a ball!
After a summer of dormancy, Kalanchoe will inevitably grow some leggy branches, crossing branches, and branches with pests or diseases. Once the weather turns cool, prune them off right away!
1. Carefully observe the Kalanchoe's branches and stems. If you find any that are soft or turning black, cut them off cleanly.
2. Overly long leggy branches not only consume too many nutrients and make the plant look ugly, but also lead to sparse blooming, so do not hold back either, snip snip snip!
3. Crossing branches and weak branches on the main stem waste nutrients and also prevent air circulation inside the plant, making it very prone to diseases and pests, so decisively snip snip snip!
Propagate Kalanchoe once, and 1 pot becomes 10 pots!
Do not throw away the Kalanchoe branches you pruned off. Learn to propagate them as below, and 1 pot can become 10 pots!
1. Cut off healthy Kalanchoe branches, cut the branches into several small sections, each no longer than 5 cm, and leave them in a cool place to dry for 1-2 hours.

2. Mix nutrient soil for the Kalanchoe in the ratio perlite : nutrient soil : coconut coir brick soil = 2:5:3, stir evenly, and spray water to make the soil slightly moist.

3. Insert the dried Kalanchoe branches into the pot soil, water thoroughly, and place them in a bright spot with indirect light and good ventilation for care.

4. After about 1-2 weeks, the Kalanchoe will root. After rooting, place it in a spot with plenty of light for care, and water once every 7-10 days or so.

Pinch Kalanchoe once, and the plant becomes full with more flowers!
Any Kalanchoe with densely packed flowers must have had its plant shape well controlled, and a good plant shape depends on pinching!
1. When Kalanchoe grows 5 pairs of leaves, pinch off the top 3 pairs of leaves, leaving the bottom 2 pairs of leaves.
2. In this way, the bottom 2 pairs of leaves will grow 4 small shoots. When the small shoots grow 5 pairs of leaves, pinch again.
3. Keep pinching, keeping the Kalanchoe plant no taller than 20 cm, until it grows into a big flower ball.
Give Kalanchoe some sun, and flower buds pop out in clusters!
In September-October, Kalanchoe gradually forms buds, so the sunlight in August is very important. Be sure to give it plenty of sun!
1. Those with a south-facing balcony or south-facing windowsill can place it directly there. Outdoor sun is better than indoor sun. However, in areas still experiencing high temperatures, appropriate shading is needed.
2. Water a bit more than in summer, but still follow the principle of not watering until dry. Water again when the pot feels light and the soil turns white. Also, in areas still experiencing high temperatures, water in the morning and evening, not at noon.
Fertilize Kalanchoe a little, and it grows lush with many flowers!
If you want Kalanchoe to bloom, you have to give it more good stuff. Whether it is fertilizer you composted yourself or bought, it is fine, but be sure to apply thin fertilizer frequently, and do not be greedy, otherwise the roots will burn.
1. To make Kalanchoe bloom more, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is essential. You can buy a packet of monopotassium phosphate at the flower market, dilute it with water and spray the leaves or pour it directly into the soil. You can also compost some fishy water or bone residue water to water it with.
2. If you find composting fertilizer yourself too troublesome, you can also dig 2-3 small holes along the edge of the pot, bury 2-3 granules of compound fertilizer, and then cover them with soil.
