Since the Start of Autumn has already passed, can autumn be far behind? Once the weather turns cool, there will be so many things for you to do! But one thing must not be overlooked, and that is repotting. The flowers below definitely need repotting! Those claims about not repotting for 10 years are indeed a bit exaggerated!

Plants that need repotting

1. Asparagus fern

After a summer of frequent watering, or with topdressing stones on the soil surface, you won't notice anything. But set those aside - once the soil dries slightly, you'll find it has cracked open, which shows the nutrients have basically been used up! If you don't repot, what are you waiting for!

2. Clivia

The root system of Clivia is intricate and complex. To meet its growth needs, it generally needs repotting every autumn. This is especially true for large plants, otherwise flowers can easily get stuck between the leaves and fail to bloom.

3. Succulents

They are already small to begin with, with little soil. With long-term watering, the nutrients in the soil quickly run out. Repotting in time is more beneficial for succulent growth, and besides, a small pot doesn't take much time.

4. Spider plant

Spider plant roots grow very quickly, so change the soil and move it to a larger pot in time every year, giving the spider plant enough room to grow.

Repotting tips

1. Prepare the soil

Prepare soil according to the size of the plant, or make your own composted soil at home (leaves, fruit peels, garden soil). Remember to sterilize it before use.

2. Flower pot

Based on the plant's growth condition, decide whether you need to switch to a slightly larger, more breathable pot. You can collect some stones in advance to place at the bottom of the pot for drainage!

3. Care after repotting

I won't say much about the repotting method, but after repotting, remember not to expose it to strong sun, and not to water or fertilize immediately. One week after transplanting is fine!
