Autumn is coming, and the temperature is gradually dropping. For those who want to graft flowers at this time, take note: the temperature is just right! Flower lovers who have been growing flowers for many years must be tired of the same old plants they usually grow. After getting to know their habits, they want to try something "new."

Grafting is a good way to do it. Grafting can join two different plants together, creating new sparks. Many flower lovers must have been eager to give it a try for a long time.

Look, the colorful flowers grafted by others are so beautiful.

Today, Huahua will use moss rose and triangular cactus to give everyone an example, so that even cacti can be covered with flowers!

When choosing the triangular cactus and moss rose, note that the moss rose should preferably have a thick, sturdy stem and look good, because if it looks good, the grafted result will be more beautiful. The length should be about 5-8 cm

When choosing the triangular cactus, pick one that is dark green, with solid tissue and a soft pith. If the pith is whitish and hard, it means the triangular cactus is too old, and this kind of triangular cactus is not easy to graft successfully.

Prepare a sharp small knife. Before grafting, wipe the knife with alcohol, then hold it over a flame to sterilize it, so as to prevent infection and rot at the cut surface during grafting.

Step 1: First use the knife to cut a cross-section at the top of the triangular cactus, then use the tip of the knife to cut a small vertical slit 2 cm deep downward in the center of the cross-section. Note that the slit should not be cut too large; it should be opened cleanly with one cut.

Step 2: Use the small knife to cut a 2 cm long notch on each of two sides at the bottom of the moss rose stem. The cuts should also be completed in one go, keeping the cut surfaces clean and neat. After cutting, the bottom of the stem should be duck-bill shaped.

Step 3: Insert the moss rose vertically into the small slit of the triangular cactus. Be sure to insert it firmly, so that the moss rose and the triangular cactus are tightly connected.

Step 4: Place the grafted triangular cactus in a rain-sheltered, semi-shaded spot. When watering, water thoroughly only after the soil has dried out. Be sure not to let the cut get wet.

In this way, the grafting is complete. Generally, it is normal for the moss rose to wither within one week after grafting. After a few days, as long as the graft has taken, the moss rose will become full of life! Before long, you will be able to see moss roses growing on the cactus!

Grafting is a method of plant regeneration and propagation. Everyone can graft according to their own preferences and the characteristics of the plants.

Being able to graft it into this is truly genius. As long as you are happy, that is what matters!

The grafting method is not limited to the one Huahua mentioned. Some people also use grafting clips and grafting machines to graft. There are many methods and types, so everyone can let their creativity run wild.

Have you all understood the grafting method explained today? If you are interested in giving it a try, then take action quickly. It does not have to be cactus and moss rose; other plants can also create different sparks.
