Money tree management methods
(1). Watering
Watering a money tree should be done according to the different seasons. Generally, in spring and autumn, water once every 1 week; in summer, the water demand is high, so increase watering to once every 3 days, and also frequently spray water on the leaves and surrounding area to lower the temperature and increase humidity; in winter, reduce watering, which can prevent the plant from frost damage and help it overwinter safely. In winter, watering requires observing the dryness of the soil; water only when the soil is dry, and keep the watering in a slightly dry state.
(2). Fertilizing
The money tree likes fertilizer. During the growing period, apply 1 dilute cake fertilizer water every month. After Mid-Autumn, apply nitrogen fertilizer to improve the plant's cold resistance, which is good for overwintering, and apply 2~3 rounds of 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution. When the winter temperature is below 15°C, stop fertilizing.
(3). Temperature
The most suitable growing temperature for a money tree is 20~32°C. In summer, during high-temperature periods, cooling measures such as shading or spraying water are needed. In winter, take protective and warming measures, keep the temperature at 8~10°C, not lower than 5°C, to avoid the plant suffering cold damage.
(4). Light
The money tree is a light-loving plant and is also fairly shade-tolerant. Not receiving light for a long time will affect the plant's growth, so it is best to place it in a spot with sufficient light for care, which can make the plant grow luxuriantly with thick leaves. In summer, just be careful of high-temperature sun exposure.
