Devotedly passing on agricultural techniques, the spirit of craftsmanship is carried on from generation to generation

Inheritance · Passing On
Growing upward, ever renewing. Continuing for a thousand years, the flame passed from hand to hand.
There is a kind of growth that needs to draw strength, and a kind of inheritance called master-apprentice teaching.
The master transmits the way, imparts knowledge and resolves doubts; the apprentice respects the master, observes propriety and studies diligently.
Yiguang Garden is located by the reservoir in Guoxi Town, Ouhai District, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with streams flowing through, in a quiet and pleasant environment.
The garden covers an area of 50 mu, advocates the life aesthetics of bonsai art, and specializes in the cultivation, care, creation and sale of bonsai.
Besides creating, innovating, displaying and appreciating bonsai, Yiguang Garden is even more like a school.
Open Teaching · Craft Passed On from Hand to Hand
Master Qiu Yiguang has been making bonsai and landscape scenery for more than 40 years, and his craft is inherited from the "bonsai master" Lin Hongxin. Craftsmen value inheritance, and their vitality lies in the will to pass it on. He and his apprentices, with persistence and sweat, have nurtured every bit of greenery in Yiguang Garden.
This master-apprentice teaching is more like a Chinese-style spirit of contract. Through open teaching, more and more apprentices come to Yiguang Garden. Here, they discuss bonsai techniques and explore bonsai culture, and can better feel what Master Qiu has learned, felt and loved. The young phoenix sings clearer than the old phoenix; there is winter in the four seasons. This is the beginning of a cycle of transmission; people have their ups and downs, and only the craft is passed on as one flame kindles the next.
