Don't Choose These Four Spots for Your Plants: Your Good Intentions Will Harm Them

Many people complain about how hard it is to keep plants at home, saying that no matter how they care for them, the plants just won't survive, and it's driving them crazy. In fact, plant care depends on location. If the location is wrong, no amount of care will keep them alive. It's not true that you can put flowers and plants in any spot at home. At the very least, the following spots are not suitable for keeping plants.
First, directly in front of an air conditioner vent.
Although many of us love to run the air conditioner in the heat of summer, flowers and plants do not. When we turn on the air conditioner at home, we must never place plants where the air conditioner blows directly on them, because this is bad for their growth. One of our potted plants was placed right at the air conditioner vent, simply because there was space there, so we put it there.
Once, I remember our plant dried out especially quickly, so I watered it very frequently, but found it still didn't help. Later I realized it was because of the air conditioning blowing on it, which caused this situation. No matter how much more I watered it afterward, it was useless. So never place plants at an air conditioner vent. This will make the plant dry out, cause its leaves to turn yellow and withered, and in severe cases even lead to the plant's death.
Second, the kitchen window.
Many people think the kitchen window is the best place for plants because they can absorb the polluted air in the kitchen. In fact, plants don't have such a great ability. The polluted air in the kitchen will not be absorbed by the plants; instead, it will kill them. Kitchen cooking fumes are especially heavy. Even with a range hood installed, there will still be fumes, and these fumes will inevitably escape through the window. If you put plants on the kitchen windowsill, the fumes will definitely cling to the leaves. Over time, this will cause the leaves to turn black, and it will also prevent the leaves from breathing, ultimately leading to leaf rot. So the kitchen window is also not a place for plants.
Third, next to a radiator.
In winter, many people worry that leaving plants outside will freeze them, so they bring the plants into a heated room, and worst of all, they go out of their way to place the plants right next to the radiator, which causes big trouble. The temperature next to a radiator is very high. Even our human bodies can't stand this temperature, let alone plants. At this temperature, plants cannot bear it. The moisture contained in the plants will be quickly evaporated, and watering them afterward is useless because their essence has already been damaged. Also, next to a radiator, there is very little moisture in the air, and the plants cannot absorb moisture from the air either. This will cause the plant's leaves to become dry and black. Under such conditions, the plant definitely will not be able to grow.
Fourth, the washroom and bathroom.
We sometimes put plants in the washroom. In most homes, the washroom and bathroom are connected, and people feel the space needs some greenery, so they put plants in the washroom. But we should know that the air humidity in a washroom is very high, and it is an enclosed space, so plants will find it very hard to breathe inside.
Moreover, such high humidity will further hinder the plants' breathing. This place also gets no sunlight, not even indirect light. Under such conditions, plants with strict environmental requirements definitely cannot be kept there. So the washroom and bathroom are not suitable for keeping plants that have strict environmental requirements.
