Once Start of Autumn passes, autumn arrives. The harvest season of autumn is precisely the season of abundant fruit, with all kinds of fruits coming onto the market one after another: peaches, longan

, kumquat, lemon, dragon fruit, apple, pear, kiwifruit and so on. For friends who love eating fruit, this is the season with the greatest number and richest variety of fruits in the whole year, so eat to your heart's content.

With so many fruits in autumn, for friends who love growing flowers there is one more bonus - planting fruit stones! With so many fruits on the market in autumn, there are naturally just as many fruit seeds. Shitou has tried growing all kinds of fruit stones - kiwifruit, dragon fruit, lemon, longan, peach, kumquat and so on - with many surprises, and in the end several kinds of seedlings even grew to the point of flowering and fruiting. Today Shitou shares with everyone 4 kinds of fruit stones that are extremely easy to grow: plant them and they sprout in a week, and they can grow to flower and fruit, edible and beautiful.

Autumn temperatures are suitable, making it a good time to sow this kind of potted fruit. Sow in autumn, keep indoors for care in winter, and by the following spring they can enter a period of rapid growth.

Dragon fruit

Dragon fruit is a very common fruit in the south. Many friends have never seen how dragon fruit grows on the tree or what a dragon fruit tree looks like. Below you will see it, and everyone can absolutely try growing a potted dragon fruit themselves; the growing method is very simple.

Scoop out the flesh of a ripe dragon fruit; the black seeds are its seeds. Rinse them clean in water and let them dry, and that is enough. When planting, to make the seeds sprout quickly, soak them in clean water for one night to activate the embryos. Then scatter the seeds on the potting soil, cover with a layer of fine soil, cover with plastic wrap on top, and they will sprout in a week as a dense mass of tiny shoots.

Dragon fruit is very easy to care for, but one point is very important: control watering, because dragon fruit tolerates drought and fears waterlogging. Apart from winter, when it needs to be kept indoors for care, it can be kept outdoors in all other seasons, and it grows very quickly.

As the plant keeps growing, thin out the dense areas to benefit the growth of the dragon fruit. Give the potted plant one application of compound fertilizer each summer, and after three years you will see the dragon fruit flower and fruit.

Kiwifruit

Kiwifruit is also called qiyiguo; it is rich in vitamins and is recognized as the king of vitamins. Autumn is the season when kiwifruit comes onto the market. After eating kiwifruit you can try growing a pot yourself! The seeds of kiwifruit are inside the core; take out the core, wash off the flesh, dry the seeds and you can plant them.

After soaking the seeds in clean water for one night, scatter them on the prepared potting soil, cover with fine sand, cover the pot with plastic wrap, and place it in a cool spot indoors; after a week you will see small seedlings emerge.

Once the seedlings have grown strong, they can be placed outdoors for care. Of course, if they are growing too densely, you can pull out some of the seedlings as appropriate, so that the remaining plants grow even stronger.

For potted kiwifruit in the north in winter, keep it indoors for care, then place it outdoors for care in spring; it grows quickly. Just apply compound fertilizer each summer. Generally, after three years of care it can bear fruit.

Longan

Longan is a hot-natured fruit of the south. Longan propagation is very simple; the seeds inside have a very high germination rate, basically 100%. Place the eaten longan stones on prepared soil with the soil in the pot moist, then cover with fine sand until the seeds are covered. Seal the top with plastic wrap, place on a windowsill, and after a week you will see small seedlings come up.

The longan tree has very strong vitality and is also a very easy potted plant to grow. Apart from winter, when it is kept indoors for care, it can be kept outdoors in all other seasons. After the plant grows larger, it can be grown as a single specimen, and it will flower and fruit in five years.

Kumquat

In recent years, the kumquat tree has been a very popular household potted plant. In fact, growing a kumquat tree is very simple: the seeds inside the kumquats we usually eat can grow into a beautiful orange tree.

Soak kumquat seeds in clean water for one day, bury them in moist sandy soil, seal with plastic wrap, and after two weeks you can see small shoots break through the soil. Remove the plastic wrap, then place outdoors for care; remember to move it indoors in winter, then place it outdoors again for care in spring.

Prune every spring, then fertilize. The kumquat tree likes to grow in moist soil, so when caring for it in summer, in addition to normal watering, also spray water around the plant to increase humidity. With such care, after three years it will flower and fruit (though it cannot be ruled out that some plants need to be grafted before they can flower and fruit).
