To grow flowers, I get up early and stay up late every day, working hard to care for them, yet in my own hands they still die the more I raise them! The flowers we treat as treasures are seen as mere weeds by some people - some even become so overgrown that they're fed directly to cows. It really stings!

The Clivia around the house, every single one looks like a big cabbage!

When your Clivia still won't bloom, and even its leaves are turning yellow, other people's Clivia grown in their yards have already grown into glossy, lush cabbages - blooming whenever they please!

Around the house, in every nook and cranny, they're all bursting with blooming Clivia! We painstakingly repot and build roots in spring and autumn, afraid they'll freeze to death in winter and scorch to death in summer, yet they can't compare to other people's Clivia that need no care at all!

If you want your indoor Clivia to bloom as much as those planted in the ground, you can place some oil crops like peanuts or sunflower seeds at the bottom of the pot. The leftover beer from home in summer can also be mixed with water at 1:10 and used with a soft cloth to gently wipe the leaves, making the Clivia leaves greener and shinier!

The cacti around the house work better than security bars!

When it comes to growing cacti, many flower lovers furrow their brows - why do mine always rot at the roots and die? Come quickly and look at other people's cacti, climbing up along the wall, more effective than security bars! Let's see who dares climb the wall now!

Actually, most people know that cacti are one of the easiest flowers to grow. If you can't grow them into a security-bar look, then at least getting them to bloom shouldn't be a problem, right?

If you want your cacti at home to grow until they bloom and fruit, you can choose slightly alkaline soil, place them outdoors in a spot with good sunlight, water sparingly to prevent root rot, and occasionally add a bit of compound fertilizer - that's completely sufficient!

The Graptopetalum paraguayense around the house - tough and easy to grow!

Every time I hear someone say they killed their Graptopetalum paraguayense, I'm at a loss for what to say! Among succulents, Graptopetalum paraguayense is one of the tougher ones. If you don't believe it, just look at other people's rooftops - blooming Graptopetalum paraguayense in clusters upon clusters!

If you grow them on a balcony, no worries either - just let them hang down as a curtain. Grow them by the front door, or on top of a wall, and they'll immediately cascade down into a waterfall!

Graptopetalum paraguayense is very easy to grow. Normally you just need to make sure it gets plenty of sun and water it sparingly - generally wait until the potting soil is completely dry before watering to prevent root rot. This will quickly let it grow into a large patch, and even developing into an old stump is no problem at all!

The moss rose around the house - so many they turn into a carpet!

I still remember as a child, I casually scattered a handful of seeds in the yard back home, and within 1 month, the entire yard was taken over by moss roses. Even after Mom cleared them all out, by the next year, the fallen seeds sprouted into another huge patch!

Moss rose is one of the easiest flowers to grow - even a 3-year-old child could keep it alive! Just give it plenty of sunlight, and when it's lacking water, pour a big basin of water over it, and it will immediately shoot up and grow like crazy!

If your moss roses never bloom, I suggest sprinkling 3-5 granules of compound fertilizer during the growing season, or spraying a 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution before blooming, and they'll burst into bloom in no time!

The Orostachys fimbriata around the house - hang it up and it becomes a curtain!

Speaking of Orostachys fimbriata, many older folks might not recognize the name, but if you mention "gem flower," everyone will know! Besides Graptopetalum paraguayense, the most commonly grown succulent around rural homes is definitely Orostachys fimbriata!

Besides covering walls and conquering rooftops, the main use of Orostachys fimbriata is, of course, as a curtain! Plant it beside a railing and let its old stems hang down - within a few months it becomes a natural curtain!

If you want your Orostachys fimbriata to become a curtain as quickly as possible, try giving it more sunlight - placing it in direct light on an open balcony is best. Once you notice dried-up leaves on it, cut them off promptly to prevent bacterial growth in summer that could cause black rot.

Orostachys japonica all over the mountains - too many to dig up!

When I was little, I once saw plants growing one by one on rooftops, but at that time I had no idea they were Orostachys japonica. Later, after growing up and getting into succulents, I realized those were all treasures! If any household had a big patch of Orostachys japonica on their roof, it was truly something to be envied!

Besides rooftops, the place where wild Orostachys japonica most easily appears is generally on mountains. If there are mountains where you live, you can take a stroll up there when you have free time - especially in the cracks between rocks - and see if there's a ton of Orostachys japonica?

Of course, besides what I've introduced here, there are many other flowers planted around houses that grow much better than those kept indoors! Everyone might as well take a look along with me!

Pennywort:

Pothos:

Hydrangea:

That's all for today's introduction!
