A thousand years of Yixing zisha: a heritage passed down at the fingertips

Small as it is, zisha outlasts the vicissitudes of time and holds within it cultural wonders. It has not only led China's tea-drinking fashion but also delighted distant Europe. For thousands of years, the zisha artisans of Yixing, with endless imagination and deft hands, have vividly displayed the profound cultural heritage of the Chinese nation before the world.

Zisha, why do so many celebrities love you so much they cannot put you down?

Image 1: Li Bingbing, a beautiful pot paired with a beautiful woman

Image 2: Teacher Zhang Tielin, who has a special fondness for zisha.

Image 3: Ma Yun, on a leisurely day, brewing tea in zisha, utterly delightful.

Image 4: Zhang Guoli, drinking tea from a zisha pot is just domineering.

Zisha is a natural clay, rich in elements such as iron, calcium, sodium, potassium and zinc. Long-term use can improve the human body's immunity. Zisha pots have extremely strong breathability, meaning that even in summer the tea does not spoil overnight, and zisha pots can absorb the aroma of tea. With a zisha pot that is often used to brew tea, even if no tea leaves are added occasionally, the water still carries the fresh fragrance of tea.

Seeing this, the question from pot enthusiasts must have come: I also like zisha pots, but when I hear about chemical pots and slip-cast pots, I think about how can I buy an authentic Yixing zisha pot of good quality at a fair price?

Go to a counter to buy? I advise you to just forget the idea. Under China's distributor model, the price is marked up layer by layer, and what remains in the hands of pot enthusiasts is only a high price. This is exactly why many pot enthusiasts spend a great deal of money yet buy zisha pots of merely average quality. So how exactly can you buy a good zisha pot and taste natural health? Today I will tell everyone using my own personal experience.

A "family lunatic" who cuts zisha pot prices by 50%

I am Xiaorui from the Zisha Dynasty pot-making family, a girl born and raised in Dingshan, Yixing. Zisha Dynasty was founded by my ancestors 50 years ago and is an old established pot-making family in Yixing, built on integrity.

My father has taught me since childhood that in the zisha pot industry, integrity is more important than life. If a person has no character, where can the character of a pot come from?

Xiaorui writes these things only to let pot enthusiasts buy purely handmade zisha pots, eliminate middlemen, avoid being cheated, and let pot enthusiasts get authentic zisha pots at the lowest price. Of course, this can also give the family's pot-making business a better inheritance and serve more pot enthusiasts who love zisha in the future.

(Master Gu Jingzhou)

One pot, one story, one original intention

The purpose for which Zisha Dynasty exists is:

Making pots at the source, based on raw ore clay from Yixing,

Guaranteed by a 50% reduction from market price,

It can both benefit pot enthusiasts and make zisha pot prices clear!

As long as you like zisha, Xiaorui is willing to connect through pots.

Sincerely welcome all pot enthusiasts to visit the small shop in Yixing, taste tea and chat about zisha.

Using family-stored raw ore clay, entirely handmade pots.

Guaranteeing the quality of every pot sold.

A good zisha pot must satisfy the following 5 points

The clay must be good

All zisha pots of Zisha Dynasty come from raw ore clay of Huanglong Mountain. We strictly select every piece of raw ore and use the original handmade stone-mill clay-refining method, striving for the authentic flavor of zisha.

(Aged clay storage warehouse)

Some pot enthusiasts may say: Huanglong Mountain is already sealed off, so how can there still be so much raw ore clay? Actually, that is not the case. Old established pot-making families in Yixing all have the habit of storing clay. Before the mine was sealed, the family purchased a large amount of clay precisely to ensure that every pot sold by Zisha Dynasty is made of raw ore clay. Xiaorui can tell you for certain that the same pot shape may also exist outside, but the clay is definitely not as good as ours.

Pot making must be entirely handmade

(The purely handmade production process)

Zisha Dynasty uses the "traditional handmade forming method", that is, the beating and fitting forming techniques passed down from the Ming Dynasty. In the production process, more than 80 kinds of tools are used, including the traditional dazhi, juchi, windlass, and zinikuai.

Here we do not put emphasis on professional titles, because the professional titles in the Yixing zisha industry are probably the most chaotic in the whole country (I will not go into the reasons here). The pot-making artisans of Zisha Dynasty carry on the craftsman spirit. They may not have magnificent studios, jaw-dropping titles, or overwhelming publicity and hype.

But they have pots, and solid, genuine craftsmanship.

Making pots by day, making pots by night, making pots in all kinds of ways...

Sitting on a bench in the cold for ten years, that is the true portrayal of their pot-making skill.

Only in this way can Zisha Dynasty deliver first-hand zisha pots into the hands of pot enthusiasts, avoid unlawful middlemen earning huge price differences, and let pot enthusiasts obtain their beloved zisha pots at an unexpected price.

Only by not forgetting the original intention can one persevere to the end

The purpose for which Zisha Dynasty exists is:

Making pots at the source, based on raw ore clay from Yixing,

Guaranteed by a 50% reduction from market price,

It can both benefit pot enthusiasts and make zisha pot prices clear!

As long as you like zisha, Xiaorui is willing to connect through pots.

Encountering zisha is a beautiful affair

Meeting zisha is a romantic destiny

Fired with care

Before firing pots made from each type of clay, Zisha Dynasty's masters fire test pieces and repeatedly test the kiln temperature, because if the fire is too low, the pot will have an earthy fishy smell, and if the fire is too high, the surface of the pot easily peels and the pot color becomes uneven and not bright. Numerous attempts are made just for one good pot. Carrying on the craftsman spirit for a hundred years as if it were one day, the satisfaction of pot enthusiasts is our tireless pursuit.

Appreciation of works from our social media feed

Everyone at Zisha Dynasty making zisha pots in Yixing is a named, identifiable person, and everyone can see what they make. Xiaorui can tell pot enthusiasts on her personal honor that we do not seek quantity. Every pot sold by Zisha Dynasty is completed entirely by hand by an artisan.

Zisha is a culture, a heritage.

We deeply know that only by devoting ourselves wholeheartedly to this great cause

can we offer pot vessels truly worth savoring and collecting.

Zisha Dynasty promises that it will certainly not fail your choice.

Some beauty exists in fantasy;

Some beauty endures in the world.

Zisha, when you truly understand it, you will find that its beauty astonishes even history!

Certificates and water-flow testing

All works of Zisha Dynasty can be provided with one collection certificate. Each collection certificate has the author's own photo holding the pot, handwritten signature and seal, supports repeated authentication, and every pot is carefully checked for defects and water-flow performance.

The 100% satisfaction of pot enthusiasts is the driving force behind our family inheritance.

Last month I bought a shipiao pot from Zisha Dynasty. Brewing tea really "gathers the fragrance and holds the goodness" and "the fragrance does not disperse". After a friend tasted the tea, he snatched it away. So today I bought another one.

The certificate, manual, pot-nourishing brush, pot mat and binding rope are all included. I am satisfied with the pot color, and the surface is delicate. I will nourish the pot according to the method, and I will come back later to add a review.

Fortunately, my first zisha pot was bought here at Zisha Dynasty. After learning the inside story of making zisha pots, just thinking about it is scary. Plus they gave me a copy of the "Zisha Pot Knowledge and Appreciation Manual", which has made me, a total beginner, count as half an expert now. Haha....

I bought this zisha pot for my dad. Dad said the water flows very smoothly, the sound when tapped is very clear, and the clay should be quite good. After opening the pot, it feels even more moist (I do not know how to express it), and it looks even more comfortable!

Xiaorui replies to Courage: Every pot in our home is made from family-stored clay, aged for many years and hand-made by a craftsman. You can use it with confidence.
