If your cactus ball is too lonely, just cut it horizontally with one slice - one pot becomes two, and it will circle around sprouting little pups

A pot of cactus ball, once you grow it, it stays for years, or even longer, but every time you see it, it looks exactly the same, with no change at all! It won't die even if you don't water it, and sometimes there's really nothing you can do about it! Then try a more aggressive method, give it a try!

Step 1: Disinfection

Prepare a knife. If the cactus ball is relatively large, just use a kitchen cleaver. Cactus balls are succulents, so if you are going to use a blade, you must disinfect it well, otherwise it may get infected and die! The kitchen cleaver can be soaked in boiling water. Of course, if it is an old kitchen cleaver, try not to have rust or anything like that on it, and soak it in carbendazim solution!

Step 2:

Visually divide the cactus ball into three equal parts. From top to bottom, find the one-third position and cut it off horizontally! After cutting, it actually looks quite nice!

Step 3:

Don't rush to throw away the cut-off part. Apply some carbendazim to both the upper and lower cut surfaces! Then place it in a scattered-light environment for a while and let it dry.

Step 4:

Do not water the one in the pot. Just care for it normally. After about a month, you will see "little balls" growing from its edges, and there will be quite a lot of them!

Step 5:

For the part you cut off, after it dries, also find a flowerpot of suitable size, and just place it on the surface of the soil like succulent cuttings. It will slowly grow new roots too! But you need to be mentally prepared: the cut-off part may not grow very well, but give it a try.

After all this fuss, you will have two pots of cactus balls! And their form has changed too! Once the cut-off pot has grown well, you can continue cutting and continue getting more pups!
