Reasons for and Solutions to Dry, Withered Branches on Money Trees
I. Preventing and Treating Rot Disease
1. Cause: When you find that its branches have suddenly dried up, it is very likely caused by rot disease, which will then affect other parts of the plant and cause the branches to become dry and withered.
2. Solution: When it is found to be caused by rot disease, we need to pull out its roots to see whether there are many rotten roots. If so, all these rotten roots must be cut off to prevent infecting other plants. Then it also needs to be sprayed with a medicated solution. First, wash the trimmed roots well with water. If an antiviral agent was previously applied, the soil needs to be replaced. After that, spray it once a week with a solution such as Soil Fungicide.
II. Reducing Watering
1. Cause: During its growth, if it is watered constantly, the roots will rot, which is the rot disease mentioned above. This will affect the plant's absorption of nutrients, and at this point the nutrient-deficient trunk will become dry and withered.
2. Solution: First cut off the rotten roots, then reduce watering to avoid water accumulation.
III. Appropriately Increasing Light
1. Cause: It is very fond of sunlight. If it is always kept in an environment with little light, the plant will grow slowly and obtain insufficient nutrients, so the trunk will become dry and withered.
2. Solution: It needs to be placed in a sunny spot to get some sun, but avoid placing it under strong light; it can only be placed in diffused light. This way, its trunk will return to normal after a period of time.
