Plump, lush succulents are the beloved favorites of many people. These plants only love sunlight, are not picky about containers, and also provide succulent enthusiasts with plenty of creative freedom. Hanging bamboo tube planters are practical, eco-friendly, and easy to make, carrying the "little succulents" as they bask in the sun, bringing a surge of joy to daily life.

Materials

Tools

Moso bamboo with several nodes, thin iron wire, long iron nails, a hammer, a screwdriver, a small hand saw, a pencil, a small knife, etc.

Making

Steps

1

Use the small hand saw to cut the moso bamboo into suitable lengths, use a pencil to draw the opening lines near each bamboo node, then use the hand saw to cut through the bamboo skin.

2

Align with the sawed opening and use a screwdriver to pry off the bamboo skin layer by layer. Use pliers to hold a red-hot iron nail and burn out the drainage hole and the holes for threading the iron wire, making it easy to hang.

3

Fill the bamboo trough with soil and plant the succulents in it; a neat row looks very cute.

Tips

1. When scaffolding is dismantled at a construction site, moso bamboo is everywhere.

2. After prying off the bamboo skin, you can use a small knife to trim the edges of the planter so that it looks smooth and flat.

3. When fertilizing, you can use ordinary liquid flower fertilizer, or you can make your own leaf mold water; fully fermented leaf mold water will not attract insects and has tremendous fertility.
