Many people long for a pastoral life, but various obstacles in real life

have kept this wish from ever coming true.

So they can only write it down on paper: when I grow old, I must fulfill my wish to grow flowers and vegetables.

In Wuxi, there is a young woman born after 1995 named Xu Kuaikuai,

who since the age of 18 has been living the life she longed for in the countryside with her parents,

growing flowers and vegetables, painting and doing handicrafts, and even cooking delicious meals with her own hands three times a day...

It simply makes people envious!

The Kuaikuai family originally lived in the city center of Wuxi, where their home was less than 100 sq m,

Because Kuaikuai and her mother especially longed for a pastoral life,

it just so happened that a friend wanted to rent out a vineyard in the countryside,

After thinking it over for 3 days, the family decided to rent the place.

The gate of the old house was originally a somewhat rusty iron gate,

Kuaikuai replaced it with a wooden door, and laid a path of fine gravel at the entrance,

The fence was also replaced right away, and the quality instantly went up a notch.

Because of restrictions on agricultural land, private homes cannot be built there,

so the Kuaikuai family could only renovate on the basis of the old house.

The exterior of the house was painted clean white, and the windows were changed to safer security windows.

In the corridor outside the door, cement was applied to make the floor, and then a rain canopy was put up.

The white table and chairs they bought were placed underneath, and everywhere you look is a comfortable white.

Kuaikuai says her mother loves growing flowers.

In their original home, there were only 3 balconies where flowers could be grown,

but after moving here, her mother had a 75 sq m sunroom.

Over time, she has grown more than 200 kinds of flowers.

In spring, all kinds of Chinese roses bloomed.

Whether climbing vines on the fence or planted in pots,

every single flower bloomed beautifully under her mother's careful care.

What Kuaikuai loves most is to grab a pair of scissors and cut the blooming Chinese roses,

Whether arranged in an iron box or placed in a basket,

or even holding a few stems in her hand for a photo, they are so beautiful it makes people jealous!

Not to mention the Chinese trumpet creeper climbing the wall, which almost turned into a curtain;

the heat-tolerant and sun-tolerant coral bells, which decorate Kuaikuai's home in a riot of colors.

Besides bought flower pots, Kuaikuai also goes out to pick up unwanted discarded items,

such as baskets, tires, wire and the like; once picked up and fixed up,

they immediately become great flower pots for growing flowers!

The porch of the house is not left idle either; all kinds of herbaceous flowers that easily fill out a pot are grown here,

Whether lined up directly on the ground or hung in midair,

you can see them every time you go out, and your mood lifts along with them.

Besides growing flowers, what Kuaikuai's mother loves most to grow is, naturally, succulents.

To date, her mother has already grown more than 300 kinds of succulents!

Sometimes, Kuaikuai also helps her mother by watering the succulents at home.

Kuaikuai's mother is indeed an expert at growing succulents.

Every pot of succulents, in her hands, turns into a plump, pinkish, chubby little thing.

Besides using flower pots, the Kuaikuai family also picked up a few stones outside,

brought them home and modified them a little, and they became great pots for growing succulents too.

The combination of succulents and stones is simply a perfect match!

Sometimes, Kuaikuai also takes a different approach, planting succulents in baskets,

or directly weaving them into wreaths, which instantly become rare works of art!

Following the fence made of wildflowers, you can walk to the back of the house,

where there is about 7 mu of orchard and one mu of vegetable plot, as well as a large vineyard.

Kuaikuai often works in the vegetable garden together with her mom and dad,

Whether turning the soil, pruning branches, or winding vines around the grapes,

though it is tiring, there is a full sense of happiness in her heart.

Effort and reward are always in direct proportion.

So the family can pick fresh melons, fruits and vegetables all year round.

Green, healthy and delicious!

Pick a handful of tender hyacinth beans, dig a basket of ripe potatoes from the soil,

even the pulled-up radishes still carry the morning dew!

Not to mention the various climbing melons and fruits on the trellis,

under the careful care of the Kuaikuai family, every one of them is shockingly big!

Besides all kinds of melons, fruits and vegetables, the Kuaikuai family also keeps a few ducklings in the backyard.

Watching them go from tiny and pale yellow to strutting and spirited,

the satisfaction in her heart is beyond words.

Of course, what Kuaikuai loves most is still the Shiba Inu named "Huangyoumei" (Butter Sister).

Kuaikuai says Youmei was a gift from her mom and dad for her 18th birthday,

What it loves most is frolicking on the more than 200 sq m of grass in front of the door.

And recently, Youmei even became a mother, giving birth to a litter of adorable little ones.

What the Kuaikuai family loves most is hosting friends who come to visit.

Pick a few tender Chinese cabbages from the backyard, gather a few fresh eggs from the grass,

all kinds of vegetables from the backyard garden all become delicious dishes to entertain guests.

While more and more young people long for the bustling, noisy city life,

Kuaikuai prefers to stay cozily at home, together with her mom, dad and Youmei.

In her spare time, she does a few handicrafts, cooks a dish, grows some flowers, plants some vegetables,

and occasionally invites friends over for a party.

For Kuaikuai, sitting at home doing what she loves,

living a quiet and tranquil life,

lets her feel a happiness and peace she could never experience in the city.

Three meals a day, growing flowers and vegetables - this is the life she longs for.

Huahua hopes that everyone can find the life they truly long for in their heart,

and not just a slogan spoken aloud, nor page after page of plans written on paper.

While you still can, go do the things you want to do!
