When people talk about succulents, most picture plump, chubby, adorable thick-leaf succulents. But in fact, there is also a category of thin-leaf succulents that are elegant, refined and breathtakingly ethereal. Today, Little Exquisite Life will introduce you to those thin-leaf succulents that carry their own ethereal charm.

1. Echeveria 'Guanghan Gong' (Echeveria cante)

One of the "Three Immortals" of thin-leaf succulents, belonging to the genus Echeveria, it is a large plant that can easily reach 40 cm in diameter when the growing environment is suitable. The leaves of Echeveria cante are white with a blue tinge, and the leaf margins are slightly pink. It is heat-tolerant and cold-tolerant, easy to care for, and readily forms an old stem. "Deep in the night, stars and moon accompany the lotus, as if lodging in the Guanghan Palace." True to its name, Echeveria cante is full of ethereal charm.

2. Echeveria 'Afterglow'

Sun Wukong said, "When I watch the sunset glow, I do nothing at all!" Yes, the succulent Echeveria 'Afterglow' is worth the same from you. Afterglow is also one of the "Three Immortals" of thin-leaf succulents, a hybrid of Echeveria cante and Echeveria shaviana. When you first see Afterglow, it wears a purple robe, its leaf rosette rimmed in red, looking utterly unworldly; later, Afterglow will change to purplish, bluish or reddish depending on the growing environment. Its color variations are very rich, but every color is ethereally graceful.

3. Echeveria 'Blue Light'

Having mentioned Echeveria cante and Afterglow, we must certainly talk about Blue Light. That's right, Blue Light is also one of the "Three Immortals" of thin-leaf succulents, and is said to be a descendant of Echeveria cante as well. Blue Light has narrow, elongated leaves that are pink with a hint of blue-green, and the leaf margins are also rimmed in red. Noble and coldly beautiful, graceful and elegant, its color changes are a little more than Echeveria cante's and a little less than Afterglow's.

4. Echeveria 'Afterglow Dancer'

Afterglow Dancer has Echeveria shaviana blood in its lineage; its leaf color is purplish-red, the leaves curl slightly inward, and the leaf margins have fine ruffles, like the hem of a fairy's skirt lifted in dance - bright and vivid, majestic and grand. Note: Afterglow Dancer is not Afterglow; it is cheaper than Afterglow and is a very common variety among thin-leaf succulents.

5. Echeveria 'Steel Lotus' (Echeveria shaviana x cante)

Some people once thought that Echeveria cante was simply a state of Steel Lotus, but this was later proven untrue; even so, it shows that Echeveria cante and Steel Lotus are very similar to some degree. Steel Lotus has blue-green leaves, less powdery bloom than Echeveria cante, and leaf margins and tips that redden easily in the sun. Like Echeveria cante, it is heat-tolerant and cold-tolerant.

6. Echeveria 'White Rose'

White Rose is said to be a descendant of Steel Lotus. Its leaf color ranges from powdery green to powdery blue, and the leaf tips and margins easily develop red blood spots. When in prime condition, the rosette wraps more compactly, the leaf color turns blue with a red tinge or even red overall, and the red margins are pronounced.

7. Echeveria 'Hera'

Hera, the queen of heaven, is a deity in Western mythology. It is a descendant of Echeveria 'Ta He Jin' (Echeveria purpusorum) and Afterglow. Its leaf color is a bluish purple, the leaf margins have red edges, and its leaf color and shape lean toward Afterglow, yet it carries the dignity of Echeveria purpusorum.

8. Echeveria 'Morning Light'

Morning Light is also a descendant of Echeveria cante and Echeveria shaviana, and is Afterglow's older sister; however, Afterglow inherited more from Echeveria cante, while Morning Light inherited more from Echeveria shaviana. Morning Light's leaf color ranges from powdery blue to powdery green. When in prime condition, the rosette wraps fairly compactly, the leaf color turns powdery blue with a red tinge, and there are obvious red margins.

9. Echeveria 'Purple Flame'

"The whole courtyard of purple flames becomes spring mist, unaware that the moon travels through the sky." Purple Flame is a descendant of Echeveria shaviana, and a half-sibling sister to Morning Light and Afterglow. Purple Flame has a delicate, petite rosette, slightly curled leaf margins, and red leaf color that turns an unforgettable purple when in prime condition.

10. Echeveria shaviana

Finally, let's talk about Echeveria shaviana, the wife of Echeveria cante and the mother of Morning Light, Afterglow and Purple Flame. With a husband and children all so full of ethereal charm, Echeveria shaviana, as part of the same big family, certainly can't be far behind. Echeveria shaviana's leaf color ranges from powdery green to powdery blue, with a white bloom, fine ruffles along the leaf edges, and when in prime condition the leaf color turns slightly powdery purple or slightly powdery pink.

The above are 10 thin-leaf succulents full of ethereal charm, compiled and published by Little Exquisite Life. We hope you enjoy them.
