The old man stacked up plastic bottles to grow a pothos, and it grew into a pothos tree with huge leaves

As people's living standards improve, more and more people like to keep a few pots of flowers and plants at home. Whether you are young or old, keeping a few pots of flowers at home instantly makes the home feel cozy and full of life, and it can also purify the air. It can be said that growing flowers has become an activity for everyone, especially for some retired elderly people at home. Keeping a few pots of flowers gives them emotional support. Take the flower enthusiast Grandpa Li: ever since he fell in love with growing flowers, he has been busy every day, busy tending to his flowers and plants. In the words of Grandpa Li's wife: "He is a really busy man, busier than when he was working!"
Grandpa Li's flower growing can be said to be entirely about reusing waste. Today he collects some eggshells and rotten vegetable leaves to make a pot of flower fertilizer; tomorrow he collects some fruit peels and melon seed shells to make a pot of flower fertilizer. He even keeps the rice-washing water and puts it into bottles, saying it can be used to water flowers. And it has to be said, the old man used this household waste to turn his home into a small garden. Grandpa Li said: "Looking at these vibrant flowers and plants, I feel full of energy every day."
A few days ago, when Grandpa Li had nothing to do, he picked up plastic bottles. Even his wife said he had become "obsessed" with growing flowers, picking up everything and bringing it home. But when Grandpa Li grew a pothos tree using plastic bottles, his wife said proudly: "The old man is just clever."
And it has to be said, the pothos tree Grandpa Li shared really is very beautiful, so how did he do it?
This is the topic we are sharing today:
Grandpa Li stacked up "plastic bottles" and grew a "pothos tree", with "huge" leaves
So how exactly did the old man do it?
Prepare 5-6 plastic bottles of the same specifications, and evenly punch small holes all over each bottle (you can just use something heated to burn the holes), as shown below:
Prepare a flower pot, use all-purpose glue to fix the plastic bottles to the bottom, and fill the inside and around the pot with potting soil. Then you can plant pothos around the bottles.
Then you can connect the second bottle, the third bottle, glue them together, add potting soil, and plant pothos in the small holes of the bottles. After planting the pothos, we can also wrap it with a layer of palm fiber, and in this way it will become a pothos tree. When the pothos grows bigger, we can continue adding bottles on top. Generally, 5-6 bottles will make it more than 1 m tall.
Continue connecting them layer by layer like this. After it is grown, it will become a pot of pothos tree with large, thick leaves. In fact, as long as pothos is allowed to grow upward, its leaves will naturally become very large. This may be related to the growth habits of pothos.
So if you want the pothos to grow well, we also need to fertilize it regularly. Grandpa Li waters it every few days with a round of fermented rice-washing water, and the pothos can grow especially large leaves. However, if you don't want to make flower fertilizer yourself, you can also water it once every 10 days with urea water, using only 2-3 granules each time.
With the pothos grown this way by Grandpa Li, a single leaf grows to more than 30 cm in diameter.
If you want the pothos leaves to be glossy green, you cannot let it be exposed to direct sunlight. Just place it in a bright, ventilated spot for care, water it about once every 7 days, but be sure to spray water on its leaves often, and then the pothos will grow especially well.
