I don't know if any of you have ever seen wild orchids, but recently I saw several pictures online and finally really understood - so this is what orchid seeds look like!

Most orchids rely on seeds to reproduce (here I mean wild ones). Those kept at home are mostly artificially cultivated. Wild orchids will flower and bear fruit, and after gradually maturing, this "big bud" is filled with seeds.

When it matures, the "bud" will split open, and the seeds hidden inside will drift away with the wind! Look - orchid seeds are white and extremely tiny, and a single flower bud contains over ten million of them!

But if the orchid "bud" has not yet matured and the stem breaks, then the bud containing the seeds happens to fall on soil suitable for germination. A large number of seeds germinate and grow together, forming a tuberous dragon root, which looks very much like ginger.

The dragon root very easily produces premium orchids! Under certain conditions, after the newly sprouted small shoot emerges from the soil surface, the other shoots will stop growing! The entire dragon root will gather its nutrients together, promoting the new shoot to grow stronger and stronger and become a single orchid plant!
