While his younger sister was recovering from childbirth, her older brother came to visit. Upon entering and seeing everyone eating, he took his sister away.

In my view, nothing is more important than the bond of blood, and my only younger sister's wellbeing constantly weighs on my heart. If she were ever mistreated, I could not simply stand by. I think I will never forget that when my younger sister gave birth, I went to visit her, walked in to see everyone eating, but my sister was nowhere to be seen. After learning the truth, I flipped the dining table over.

My parents passed away early, leaving my younger sister and me to depend on each other, and she is my only family in this world. Because our family situation was unusual, my sister knew how hard it was for me, her older brother, to support the household. She was sensible and considerate from a young age, and she always told me the good news and hid the bad, keeping things from me for fear I would worry. Later I got married, and I knew my wife did not treat her as well as she appeared to on the surface, but she never said anything, always telling me how good my wife was to her. Sometimes when my wife and I had conflicts and I scolded my wife, she would even speak up for my wife. Over time, my wife also felt that my sister was easy to get along with, and stopped deliberately making things difficult for her.

Later, my younger sister reached the age of marriage, and when I found out, I was not very satisfied with the man. Perhaps I was too cautious, always afraid she would be wronged in his family. But my wife advised me that my sister would have to marry sooner or later, that I could not accompany her for a lifetime, and that if I insisted on stopping it, I might ruin her lifelong happiness. In the end, I agreed to the marriage. Before my sister left to be married, I told her that if she was not treated well in her husband's family, she must tell me, and that I, her older brother, would always be her solid support. My sister told me to rest assured, and that she would take good care of herself.

In the second year after my younger sister married, she gave birth to a child. I made a special trip to see her and brought a lot of the things she usually liked to eat. But when I arrived at my sister's home, I found that her husband's family were all eating, yet my sister was nowhere to be seen. I was very surprised and asked where my sister was. Her husband told me she was soothing the baby, but I saw the husband's family only caring about their own meal and not saving any food for my sister. I was so angry that I flipped the dining table over on the spot. I only learned later that my sister was actually not living well, but she did not want me to worry, so she kept it from me all along.

This is the younger sister I have always loved most. Because she lost her parents' love at such a young age, I could never bear to let her suffer any grievance, yet I never expected her to be treated this way in her husband's family. I truly could not bear it, and my heart ached faintly. No matter what, my sister is the most important person to me. Even if my wife is unhappy, I will take my sister back. Everyone, tell me, other than this, is there any better way?
