County Magistrate Li Jinyong stated that the Yunlin Official Residence Children's Hall was converted in 2007 from the old county magistrate's residence. The space planning is open-style, mainly providing a quality and leisurely space for parent-child interaction, offering children exploration and self-directed learning. The Children's Hall is divided into 2 floors. The 1st floor provides children with 3 main areas: "Free Play," "Enjoy Reading," and "Hands-On Making." The 2nd floor provides an "Educational Toy Area" and a "Story Room" for storytelling.

The 2018 Yunlin Official Residence Children's Hall "Q Robot's Home" event planning will combine maker education, enabling children to learn independently and spark an interest in hands-on making. National Huwei University of Science and Technology's Central Taiwan Innovation Maker Education Base provided laser engraving machines and 3D printers, along with programmable robot education kits, and offered diverse and multifaceted maker courses.

The 2018 Yunlin Official Residence Children's Hall Q Robot's Home future events will combine maker education, enabling children to learn independently and spark an interest in hands-on learning.
