How to make dried baby's breath from the flower shop? Learn 3 points to make it at home

When shopping, you often see dried flowers in flower shops, and among them baby's breath leaves a rather deep impression, perhaps because I like it quite a lot. Dried flowers keep for much longer than fresh flowers, so many florists often use this method to preserve fresh flowers. Today we will use baby's breath as an example to talk about some tips for making dried flowers.
Since it is called a dried flower, the water in the fresh flower must have evaporated, so how exactly is it done? There is natural air drying and artificial drying. Below we will slowly introduce how to dry out the water, and you can see which method you prefer.
1. Natural air-drying method
This method is the most direct and most primitive, and technically there is no difficulty to it. As long as the weather conditions are good, it can succeed. This method has relatively high requirements for the weather, so try to avoid thunderstorm days; clear weather with low air humidity is best. The specific steps: first hang up the picked fresh flowers, and spread the flowers apart rather than letting them overlap, so the flower shapes can be kept well.
If they are all crowded together when hung up, the flowers are very likely to be squeezed out of shape. In a dry environment, the water in the fresh flowers will continuously evaporate. After a period of time, when the air-dried shape of the bouquet is more or less set, it can be taken down and placed in a vase for display.
2. Book-pressing drying method
This method is just like its name: press fresh flowers one by one between the pages of a book, just like making specimens. The materials needed for this method are very simple; just a book with some thickness is enough. The specific steps: divide the flower stems into small individual stems, the finer the better, arrange the divided stems among the book pages, and after closing the book, you can put something heavy on top to press it down. If you are worried that the pages will be stained by the fresh flowers, you can place paper towels between the stems and the pages. The time is shorter than the first method, and they can be taken out in four to five days. The book-pressed dried flowers will be somewhat flatter; framed in a photo frame and hung on the wall, they look quite nice too.
3. Heat drying method
Compared with the above two methods, this one is a step up in terms of materials, as it requires the use of a microwave or oven. The specific steps: first use a tool to fix and press down the flowers, then put them into the appliance for about ten seconds; the time should not be too long, so as to avoid severe fading of the flowers and affecting the ornamental value of the dried flowers. After taking the air-dried flower stems out of the appliance, wait until they cool before proceeding to the next step of designing.
The above introduces three small methods for making dried flowers, and the resulting processed baby's breath will keep for a greatly extended time in the future.
