Our country has been promoting organic farming for 30 years, but it has always been driven mainly by the private sector. After seven years of effort, the Organic Agriculture Promotion Act was finally brought into being, promulgated by President Tsai Ing-wen on May 30 this year, and will take effect next year, formally giving the government the duty to promote organic farming. However, what direction should this promotion take? How can existing difficulties be improved? While the outside world has high hopes, many doubts have also arisen.

The Yangshan Foundation, which was the main force behind the act, held the first national forum after the act was passed.
