Pothos growing long and dense? Here's a trick to get several extra pots from it

When dividing a pothos, pay attention to this one point, and the roots won't be damaged as it grows vigorously!
How to divide a pothos: prepare the needed materials, tidy up the dense vines, grab and pull it up roots and all, and after removing it from the pot, comb out the roots. While straightening them out, you must also be careful never to damage the roots. Once they are combed out, just divide them into pots according to your own preference. Also, make sure the size of the pots matches the size of the clumps.
1. Prepare the materials
To divide a pothos, you need to prepare a new pot and fill it with nutrient soil. If you think it will be crowded, you can prepare a few more.
2. Tidy up the plant
Give the long, dense pothos a good once-over: gently grasp the vines and lift upward, and it will come up almost roots and all, pulling out with the soil as well. If it is grown in potted soil, this step is very simple and it comes out of the pot easily.
3. Comb out the roots
After removing it from the pot, you will find that many densely packed plants are joined together. To divide it, you must organize the roots, otherwise they will all be tangled together and very hard to separate. Straighten them out, and be very careful with this step: just tear them apart by hand, and try not to use tools, so as not to damage the roots and affect its ability to return to normal growth after dividing.
4. Divide and pot up
Once the tangled roots are combed out, you can divide them, together with the stems and branches, into equal portions as needed. Divide into as many pots as you like according to your own preference, but also make sure the size of the pots matches the size of the clumps.
