Money Tree: How to Grow and Care
1. Soil
The Money Tree prefers sandy soil with strong drainage and high organic matter content. When growing it, it is best to prepare this kind of soil for it, as this allows it to grow better.
2. Temperature
Its optimal growing temperature is 20-30°C. It has poor tolerance to low temperatures; when the temperature drops below 1°C, it will drop a large number of leaves. In winter, the temperature should be kept above 5°C.
3. Light
Its light requirements are fairly demanding. It is naturally sun-loving and cannot grow in lightless conditions for long periods, otherwise its leaves will drop in large numbers. However, it also cannot be exposed to strong sunlight; from May to September, when the light is relatively strong, it should be shaded, otherwise it will develop yellow leaves, scorched edges and other undesirable conditions.
4. Water
It is not tolerant of drought, nor can it grow in overly waterlogged soil, as either condition may cause leaf drop and seriously affect its ornamental value. Therefore, when watering it, control the amount of water well and just keep the soil slightly moist. In addition, reduce watering in winter.
