Causes and Solutions for Yellowing and Dropping Leaves on the Peace Lily Tree
1. Loosen the soil appropriately
Cause: If the potting soil is too compacted, the plant will not be able to breathe normally or absorb nutrients. Over time, the leaves of the peace lily tree will turn yellow due to lack of nutrients, and leaf drop will also occur.
Solution: At this point, replace the soil with a new pot of soil as soon as possible, and loosen the soil appropriately during routine care. If the potting soil is normal, place it in a well-ventilated spot for care, and after a period of time it will recover.
2. Water reasonably
Cause: If the peace lily tree is watered too much, water will accumulate in the potting soil. If the plant's root system remains in standing water for a long time, it will rot, and the leaves will also turn yellow and drop. If the amount of watering is too little, it will show yellowing and dropping leaves due to long-term water shortage.
Solution: If the amount of watering is too large, loosen the soil and place it in a ventilated spot with scattered light for care. If the amount of watering is too little, gradually increase the amount of watering, and usually control the amount of watering well.
3. Suitable light
Cause: During care, if there is insufficient light for a long time, or if it is exposed to strong sunlight for a long time, its leaves will turn yellow and drop.
Solution: Usually let it receive an appropriate amount of light, preferably scattered light. In midsummer, when the sunlight is relatively strong, take shading measures well and do not let the sunlight shine on the plant for a long time.
