New type of potted flower, as easy to grow as pothos, with unusual and beautiful blooms lasting up to half a year

Intro
Green plants and potted flowers are essential accents for home life. Keeping some flowers and plants at home brings many benefits: they beautify your living space and lift your mood. "Flower Voice Potted Plant Diary, Issue 1193" introduces you to a new type of potted flower.
Today's star
When people think of common household potted plants, pothos and spider plants are probably the first foliage plants that come to mind, along with cute succulents. Experienced gardeners may also think of Chinese roses, lisianthus, crabapple and other plants with beautiful blooms. The new type of potted plant introduced today is called star flower (Pentas lanceolata). The plant is short, yet it produces a huge number of flowers over a long blooming period, and it is easy to grow. Though niche, it is very popular.
Star flower
Star flower, also known as Egyptian starcluster, is a perennial shrub in the genus Pentas of the family Rubiaceae. The plant reaches a maximum height of only 70 cm. Flower colors include pink, scarlet, peach red, white and more. The flowers open densely in cymes, with many five-pointed small florets clustered into "ball"-shaped blooms, somewhat resembling those of hydrangea and geranium. They grow at the tips of the branches and have high ornamental value, suitable for potting as well as for decorating flower stands, flower beds and landscapes.
Blooming period up to half a year
Star flower originates from the tropical regions of western Asia. It has been introduced and cultivated in southern China, while in northern regions it is mostly grown as a potted ornamental. Its flower shape is unusual and beautiful. Whether planted in the ground in a courtyard or grown in a pot on a balcony, it creates a lovely accent. It also blooms readily: the blooming period can last from March to October, and in southern regions it can even bloom continuously all year round, giving an extremely long ornamental period.
Very easy to grow
Plants from tropical regions are generally very tough and resilient, and this one is extremely easy to cultivate. It can be managed as casually as lazy-person plants like pothos and spider plants. However, it needs to be grown in a long-daylight environment to keep blooming continuously. It is very heat-tolerant: the hotter the weather, the more beautiful the blooms, just like purslane, which "blooms gloriously with just a bit of sunshine." Its drawback is that it is not cold-tolerant; in northern winters it must be brought indoors, as it cannot survive the winter outdoors.
An excellent potted plant
Star flower has vivid, colorful blooms, among which scarlet is the most commonly used in garden applications, beautiful and festive. The plant is short, so an average-sized pot is enough to grow it, taking up little space. Potted plants can be placed on balconies, in corridors, on pavilions and terraces, in flower beds and more. As a perennial woody flowering plant, one planting brings flowers to enjoy every year afterward, offering great value for money. Niche yet beautiful, it is a rare excellent potted plant well worth having.
