Flowers have become indispensable in today's family life. They can beautify the environment, represent vitality, and enrich our spare time. However, growing flowers indoors can easily lead to various situations of yellowing leaves and leaf drop, so how can we prevent this problem when growing flowers indoors?

1. Control watering

Generally speaking, after moving indoors, the indoor environment certainly cannot compare with the outdoor one. The transpiration of water from the flowerpot and the plant surface decreases. If you still water in the outdoor way, it is easy to cause root rot due to the potting soil being too wet, so the leaves of the plant are also prone to turning yellow.

2. Environmental ventilation

A closed-in environment can easily lead to the aging of flowers, especially if the ethylene content in the air increases. Ethylene has the effect of promoting plant maturation, and some flowers that are relatively sensitive to ethylene are especially prone to yellowing leaves, so ensuring environmental ventilation is also an effective measure to prevent yellow leaves on indoor flowers.

3. Adjust lighting

Generally speaking, after light-loving plants are moved indoors, especially to shaded places, the plants will develop yellow leaves due to insufficient light. Relatively speaking, shade-loving plants such as bird's nest fern and Monstera deliciosa are also prone to yellowing when placed in an environment with sufficient light. So flowers should also have their lighting adjusted according to their actual preferences.

4. Temperature

If the temperature of the care environment is unsuitable, it can also easily lead to yellow leaves in many flowers, especially when the temperature difference before and after moving the flowers indoors for care is relatively large. Therefore, when flowers are brought indoors, the temperature also needs to be properly controlled, and they must not be exposed to sudden cold or sudden heat!
