Learn to grow Schefflera this way, and one pot becomes many with a high survival rate

Schefflera is an excellent indoor potted green plant that can purify the air, absorb secondhand smoke and beautify the home environment. Schefflera is also a plant that is very easy to propagate from cuttings, and if we need to we can cut some branches for cuttings, and very simply obtain new potted seedlings.
Schefflera cuttings are generally taken in summer and autumn, generally starting from April and continuing until around September, and propagation from cuttings can succeed throughout this period. Today Hua'er Gu will introduce the Schefflera cutting propagation techniques to everyone, and I hope you can all learn the Schefflera cutting method from it and propagate new Schefflera bonsai with your own hands!
For Schefflera cuttings you need to prepare a pair of sharp scissors, one flower pot, one pot of cutting medium, one section of cutting branch and one cup of clean water. Below I will introduce the cutting steps in detail!
1. Select a two-year-old Schefflera and choose a robust, healthy branch, cut it off with scissors, a length of about 10~15cm is enough, and keep about three leaves at the top of the obtained branch. If the leaves are rather large, we only need to keep one.
2. Place some stones at the drainage hole at the bottom of the flower pot, then add a layer of sandy soil, and then fill in fertile, loose soil as the cutting medium.
3. Insert the already cut and prepared branch into the soil, a depth of 3~5cm is enough, then gently press the surrounding soil with your hand so that the medium fits closely around the branch.
4. Water the soil around the already inserted branch thoroughly, then place the flower pot in a cool place with plenty of scattered light and good ventilation.
After that we just water according to the principle of watering when dry and stopping when wet, avoiding soil that is too damp and also avoiding soil that is too dry, and after about one month you can see new leaves beginning to grow at the top of the Schefflera branch. At this point it shows that our cutting has succeeded!
Because we used soil for the cuttings, at this point we no longer need to repot or transplant, we just need to water and care for them according to the principle of watering when dry and stopping when wet, and gradually the Schefflera can grow into a small sapling.
The above is the Schefflera cutting propagation method introduced to you by Hua'er Gu. If you also like growing Schefflera, then follow Hua'er Gu!
