Umbrella tree cuttings under full-light misting root in half a month, one branch is enough to grow a whole pot

The umbrella tree (Schefflera arboricola) is an indoor green plant with exceptionally high ornamental value, adding a touch of green to the home and purifying the air, absorbing harmful substances such as nicotine for fresh air.
The umbrella tree's propagation ability is fairly strong. Today Huar will share with you some tips for "full-light misting propagation" of the umbrella tree. The operation is very simple, big white roots pop out in half a month, and one branch makes one pot!
Full-light misting propagation method:
1. Cut a robust one-year-old or current-year branch as the cutting material, keeping the length at about 10cm. Except for keeping the 3-4 leaves at the top, trim off all the rest. The lower end can be cut into a slanted face, which helps rooting more, then leave it in a shady place to dry for a while.
2. Prepare a relatively large container (with drainage holes at the bottom), first lay a layer of ceramic pellets or broken tiles at the bottom, then spread a 20cm-30cm layer of sandy soil on top.
3. After watering thoroughly, insert the cutting into the sandy soil, with the depth between 1/3 and 2/3. When inserting, the head can be dipped in rooting agent to speed up rooting. After inserting, spray with a fine-nozzle watering can, then seal it up, making a self-made high-temperature, high-humidity micro-environment to promote its rooting and sprouting.
4. It can be placed in a spot with a little scattered light for care. During the care process, keep the environment moist and spray water on the branches and leaves every day. It will root in about half a month, and after rooting it can be transplanted into a pot.
Full-light misting propagation can be done all year round, and the survival rate is very high. If the number of cuttings is large, it can be done directly in the field, sealed with plastic film to simulate a greenhouse, quickly getting the umbrella tree to root and sprout.
That is all for the umbrella tree's full-light misting propagation. If flower lovers have other additions, you can share them with everyone in the comment section below. To learn more about flower-growing knowledge, you can follow Huajianke!
