These days more and more friends are getting into growing flowers. When we grow flowers indoors, they can decorate the space, purify the air, and add a lot of joy to our lives, helping us relieve stress. Many friends know that to grow flowers you must first grow the roots, and that means you cannot do without good potting soil and flower fertilizer.

Whether it is our everyday watering or fertilizing, both are very important. As for fertilizing, many flower growers do not know how to fertilize. In fact, a lot of the waste in our daily lives can be used as flower fertilizer, for example, eggshells.

Eggshells are extremely rich in calcium. They also contain a lot of phosphorus, which promotes strong, vigorous roots, keeps leaves glossy green, and encourages blooming. They can be called a universal flower fertilizer. Many expert flower growers mix eggshells into their potting soil.

But eggshells cannot be used carelessly. Used well, they are excellent flower fertilizer; used poorly, they easily breed pests and can cut the roots. They can even cause unexplained death, and you can rack your brains and never figure out why.

How to correctly use eggshells to grow flowers.

If you want to mix eggshells into potting soil, you can first wash the eggshells in clean water and wash away the layer of egg liquid inside, otherwise it will ferment and heat up inside and burn the flowers. Then, after drying them in the sun for a few days, the eggshells become very brittle and can be broken with a gentle tap. You need to crush them into a powder. Then mix it into the soil.

It not only supplements calcium but is also a slow-release phosphorus fertilizer that can be used to promote flowering plants. It can also help loosen the soil.

Another way to use them is to put the eggshells into a plastic bottle. Add water, let it ferment inside for a week, and after the water changes color, dilute it with water to water the flowers. At this point, the organic matter in the eggshells has already decomposed and fermented. After diluting 100 times, it can be used as a liquid fertilizer.

The remaining eggshells can be crushed directly and mixed into the soil, which can also make the soil loose and breathable.

As for how to use eggshells, many flower growers like to place them on the surface of the flower pot. This method is highly inadvisable. That way the egg liquid inside flows onto the surface of the potting soil and ferments on the surface, which not only gives off an odor but also easily breeds pests.

You also should not break the eggshells into large pieces and mix them into the soil. If the flower's root system is a fleshy root, this very easily cuts the fleshy roots and causes root rot.

Please help forward and support. Buyan thanks everyone here!
