This plant is easy to grow and quickly fills its pot, with emerald green leaves that stay evergreen all year round

Golden diamond (Philodendron 'Golden Diamond') stays evergreen all year round, with thick, emerald green leaves that have great ornamental value. Golden diamond tolerates partial shade, so it easily grows into a full pot. However, you still need to adjust care such as lighting according to the different seasons, so as to ensure healthy plant growth, thick emerald green leaves and nonstop vigorous growth.
Care tips for golden diamond:
(1). Reasonable watering
Water golden diamond according to the rule: water when the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do. Otherwise, too much or too little water is bad for plant growth. The watering frequency and amount vary with the seasons. Make sure there is no standing water in the pot, and do not water so lightly that only the surface gets wet. In summer, when water demand is high, water in the evening, generally once every 5-7 days. Do not choose the hottest time at noon, otherwise the plant is easily damaged.
In winter, reduce watering and let the soil stay slightly dry, which helps the plant overwinter safely. From winter to spring, once the temperature is above 10°C, it will resume growth, and you need to increase watering appropriately to keep the soil moist.
(2). Appropriate fertilizing
During the growing period. Autumn is the key season for fertilizing. Although it is not the peak growing season, fertilizing at this time can improve the plant's cold resistance. At this stage, mainly apply fertilizer based on phosphorus.
(3). Repot regularly
Generally, repot in February to March each spring, when the plant is in its peak growing season and can quickly recover after repotting. Choose loose, fertile, well-aerated and well-drained slightly acidic soil, which favors plant growth and makes waterlogging less likely. You can use equal parts leaf mold, garden soil and river sand mixed as the growing medium, and place some oil residue at the bottom of the pot as base fertilizer.
(4). Moderate light
Golden diamond grows well with just diffused light, and it thrives easily when grown indoors. In summer and autumn, avoid direct strong light, otherwise the leaves are easily scorched. For home care, just place it in a living room with bright scattered light, and turn the pot regularly so the plant receives even light; the overall shape will stay very nice.
