Moss rose cuttings and sowing

1. Snip a stem and take a cutting

Snip off a stem of moss rose and stick it in soil, and it will root very quickly. If your cuttings never succeed, follow Huahua and try a new method: first leave the snipped stem in a shady spot for most of a day.

Moss rose has strong vitality, and air-drying it for half a day stimulates it to root. Put the stem in a disposable cup and pour in half a cup of clean water (tap water should be left to sit for half a day first to remove chlorine).

Within two days the moss rose will sprout roots like anything. Keep it out of the sun, change the water every 3 days, and after about 6 days you can plant it in a pot. This method has a high success rate, so if direct soil cuttings won't live for you, give it a try~

2. Sowing

Moss roses bloom wave after wave, so don't forget to collect the seeds. The success rate of sowing is very high, and if you sow again, you can enjoy the flowers one more time~

The seeds need no pre-sprouting; just scatter them directly on the potting soil, mist the soil surface with a watering can, and place it in a shady spot. They sprout in 3-5 days; after sprouting, move them to a spot with good light for care, and when they reach 6 cm tall you can pinch off the tips. Just three to five plants can branch out and fill a pot!

Moss roses aren't afraid of the sun; the more the summer sun shines, the more they bloom, and in about 20 days a pot will be full of flowers. Quite a few flower friends in our community have already taken action!
