Yesterday a flower friend left a comment asking what flowers are suitable for root washing? What flowers are not suitable for root washing? Let me tell everyone: as soon as it comes to washing a flower's roots, that pot of flowers must have been grown in clay!

I have told everyone before, if you want to grow flowers well, the soil can be said to be very key; only when the soil is suitable can you keep them alive, and only later can you talk about growing them well!

Using clay to grow flowers, if it is planted in the ground, then there is no problem, and they can be grown well! But if it is a potted plant, growing it in clay generally makes it very hard to grow well! So if the flowers we buy are grown in clay, it involves washing their roots, because if you do not wash the roots, it will be very hard to grow them well later!

But let me tell everyone: some flowers are suitable for root washing, and some flowers are not suitable for root washing! For some large potted plants, and annual herbaceous plants, we had best not wash their roots!

But some small potted plants, if grown in clay, can have their roots washed, but you need to master certain techniques!

Take my pot of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis as an example; what I bought was grown in clay, so I washed its roots. First find a water basin, soak this clay ball until soft, then rinse it clean with a faucet. After washing the roots clean, plant it in nutrient soil, press the soil firm, and water it thoroughly; it is best to add some quick rooting solution to the water!

Then place it in a cool, ventilated spot with scattered light. If it is this season now, we spray water on the leaf surface once in the morning and once in the evening to keep it moist. If it is other seasons, you can put a bag over it to keep it moist! Washing the roots of other flowers also follows this method!
