In summer, many flowers look like they are not growing well, so many people think that taking cuttings in summer will definitely fail. On the contrary, because the temperature is high now, after watering the cuttings, the plants root faster, making it a very suitable time for cuttings, and they will not rot directly either!

1. Rose cuttings

Rose cuttings are very simple. In order to root and sprout quickly, it is generally recommended to choose branches that have already bloomed. Such branches have sufficient nutrients of their own and are thicker, so the survival rate is naturally higher. To speed up rooting of the branches, remove the lower leaves to concentrate nutrients for producing young roots. Keeping 3 leaves in total is enough. For jasmine cuttings, the soil is mainly a 1:1 mixed soil of perlite and coconut coir. Compact the soil so that water evaporates slowly, water thoroughly, and wait about 30 days and they will basically have taken root.

2. Gardenia cuttings

Gardenia is a flower that many people like, and many people like to give some to each other, so at this time you can keep gardenia in your own home forever through cuttings. The soil for gardenia cuttings is leaf mold, and the higher the air temperature the better (not temperature). Gardenia cuttings are different from rose cuttings: the more tender the branch, the easier it is to survive. The gardenia cut needs to be slanted at a 45-degree angle, and the branch length is generally about 15 cm. The length exposed to the air is recommended to be 5 cm. Keep the soil sufficiently moist and place in a cool, ventilated spot, and after waiting 40 days, transplant. Suggestion: after the flowers take root, transplant them together with the soil for a higher survival rate.

3. Jasmine cuttings

Jasmine cuttings all use leaf cuttings, which does not mean propagating leaves, and the leaves need to be treated accordingly. Each cutting should keep two leaves. Because jasmine leaves are relatively large, when taking cuttings you need to cut them in half, slanted in half, making rooting easier.

For jasmine cutting soil, half is usually fine sand directly. The sand needs to be moist, block sunlight, and after waiting about one month, it is basically done.

And in this season there will be very few cases of rooting and rotting!
